Do you use the heavy ammo "exploit"?
Personally, I do it in 2 situations. Someone else is doing it, and I know that with no land beyond, I'll be quicker. Or I'm 2/3 manning Crota with friends.
Interested to know about everyone else.

5 RepliesI see everyone saying "Why do it if you have heavy ammo synths?" Here's my problem with that. 1. Why the hell do you have a problem with having unlimited rockets? 2. Popping a synthesis before you hit crota leaves you with 3 rockets when you go back inside. (2 rockets from everyone per down, two downs for one sword.) And that's only IF you don't help take down the swordbearer, because on hard mode usually whoever is running sword needs a bit of help. Say you fire one rocket down to help. Now you have two left. You don't have enough rockets to down crota twice, unless everyone fires only one rocket. Then you better hope everyone has decent heavy weapons. THEN if you don't 2-sword crota, you have to go to the ogre room. And you better HOPE that your synthesis is ready by then, and that the ogres don't eat up all your rockets. Doing the heavy ammo exploit leaves you with full heavy every time you leave the crystal room. It's not cheesing, so what's wrong with it?
