Xur. Gun engram? Or leave as is. Thoughts what you'd do with Xur?

I think that'd be fine.... Only if they drop the whole random class thing nothing worse than 23 motes for a shard you could've bout for 7 coins.

In my opinion. When comet is released I think that xur should sell an exotic engram, but this engram can be anything. Gun or armor. It will have a question mark in the center for the picture. What do you guys and gals think about the idea?

Get rid of guns and only have an armor engram.

3 RepliesThere is no need for a gun engram. The reason there is a armor engram is because Xur is the only reliable place to get those exotics. There are 7 drop points per character per week in the raids for exotic weapons. There's no need to spam engrams too.

Wow.. Six votes between gun engrams and leave Xur alone. Much closer than I would've expected. Gun engrams would be good but I fully understand why people would be against it. Imagine he sells a primary engram and you buy 6 of them and get 4 different weapons. They're not class specific like armor so it does make a huge difference in how much it affects the game.

I blame the Engram guy instead of Xur. Bought 3 exotic chest engrams for my Titan. All 3 chest pieces turned into Warlock and Hunter chest pieces. How do you have less than a 1 in 3 chance to get an item for your own class?

Main reason I say no to this is cause there are way too many exotic guns. People would eventually not even waste their notes because they would never get the drop they wanted. Armor engrams most of the time are class specific to what class your on at the time which makes way more sense.

When we were lower level characters he helped us get higher so we could run end game content. Now, the majority of players on these forums (who represent such a low number of players) don't have any reason to even use Xur. I just buy heavy synths from him each week. I don't care what he sells. I'm sure we will have all everything eventually. I'm still playing the game either way.

I'd like that. But to make things a little more fair we'd have to replace the spot he sells a weapon with it. Maybe also limit how many you could by. Or make it cost more motes then normal.
