Who else can't wait for the Hand Cannon nerf?
Hand Cannons are OP end of story. I should not have to compete with a Thorn or Hawkmoon at sniper range for a sniper kill. Why does everyone run an Exotic HC in Crucible? Are they fun to use, sure but they are mostly overused because they are super broken. If you get in a 1v1 battle with somebody half decent that has an Exotic HC with anything but an Exotic HC YOU ARE GOING TO LOSE. That should not happen.
*for people on the app the second option is "Hand Cannons are perfectly fine as handheld power weapons with range and accuracy similar to a sniper rifle."

3 RepliesQuit B!TCHING. Its idiots like you that ruin the game for everyone else. How about they just leave in the melee an have that be your only way to attack? They can give your characters a slap animation to show everyone youre one of the idiots that requested a nerf to any weapon.

Played control this morning against some bastards that all had The Last Word or Thorn. Got our asses kicked but so what, hand cannons don't need a nerf.

4 RepliesHand cannons are over used because every other weapon is underpowered due to many people crying nerf. They nerfed fusions, and now no one uses them and shotguns are running rampant. They nerfed auto rifles and now no one uses them, so hand cannons took over. Bungie just needs to buff the underused weapons, leave everything else the way it is. People will naturally gravitate towards weapons that actually kill faster. None of this has to do with skill.

None of the above but i think the thorn should lnt be able to kill u with the burn but it should be able to take u too the lowest possible health

1 ReplyThe problem isn't the hand cannons. No one complained about TLW before Xûr sold it, and people who complain about Thorn (for the most part), are people who don't have it. The constant complaints from people are what ruin this game. They essentially force Bungie's hand into nerfing anything that skilled players use, until it is worthless. If anything, ask Bungie for new maps. Maps with more range, that require using something other than hand cannons. Contrary to popular belief, TLW doesn't have super amazing range. It excels are close-mid range. Thorn has great range, if you choose that over good stability. Don't blame the weapon or the player, blame the maps we are stuck with, that reward players for using a gun with a fast fire rate, a burn, or high impact.

I don't think you can complain about an entire group of weapons based off Thorn, Last Word and Hawkmoon........ It's like calling for an auto rifle nerf because of Suros. Handcannons are fine as they are. Thorn and the Last Word in particular are not.

1 ReplyAll weapons are excellent as long as you can use them well. Just because you aren't good at using them and get upset when you get killed by them, doesn't mean that they should be nerfed.

The Last Word could use some recalibration. It should not have the range of a legendary scout and it does. Other than that, leave pistols alone or they will go the way of the auto rifle. Soon all short and mid range weapons will suck goat balls. Every match will be sniper rifles with snapshot short scopes. No thank you.
