What would happen if hand cannons were special weapons like they were origianlly

They probably wouldn't be anywhere near useful as they are now. From early footage it seemed like bungie was going a rifle, a secondary, and a strong gun. The way it was originally made it didn't seem like the secondary slot was going to be much other then if you ran out of ammo. I like how the weapon tree is now.

2 RepliesHand Cannons probably weren't meant to be special weapons, it was either just put there to show diversity in the weapon types. That or at the time of the demo special weapons didn't exist, it was just an additional weapon slot.

He openly admitted he only had facts about the suros and everything else was basically made up and Internet rumours. So no. Hand cannons were never meant to be secondary weapons.

That would be sweet. Exotic handcannons could very well be a special weapon if ammo is transferred correct. Perhaps 16 bullets per special crate. Starts with 16 Legendary handcannons could do with a buff if they wanna be secondary. Increase impact but half range
