My friend is 22 her boyfriend is 25 they have dated since fall 2013 and they pretty much live together. About six weeks ago they had a long talk and he asked her opinions about marriage and kids they seemed to have similar ideas about it. She was very welcoming of the conversation and it seemed to go well and he followed up the next week with more hints. His sister took her to the mall for no apparent reason and took her by a jewelry store and asked her opinions about ring types and couldn't stop smiling. But no proposal yet (though things are great otherwise) and my friend is freaking out a little what should I tell her?

Well if your friend really is in love then don't worry. Its a big step, and people will over exaggerate it a little, but overall its a symbolic thing and commitment to the person you love. Marriage has its highs and lows, but the key to making it work is helping each other through the lows and being honest about the problems that arise with one another. Good communication cannot be stressed enough. But if they've been living together a long time, all that should really change is their tax status. [spoiler]don't worry it'll be fine. [/spoiler]

And engagement and marriage is a commitment thing to my friend, it is a big deal in her mind! She is nervous every day wondering if something will happen but doesn't want to ask, or act weird around him!

If she has worries the best thing to do is talk about them in a mature manner. They might be easily resolved!

Edited by PuppyDuckMSB: 4/26/2015 5:59:11 PM[spoiler]Ok I know this will sound bad but I was snooping on his phone this morning and his sister had texted him to tell me he loves me he said "I tell her that every day" she said "tell her so she knows" he asked why but she didn't answer. So I was wondering when to call her, and she called me. She said basically, Dan loves me a lot (she said "we all do") and she said " some things take time, he wants to do it right." I said what does that mean and she told me not to worry. So whatever that means!! Aaagh!! Update, after lunch he pulled me in his lap and said "you're the only girl for me I want to be with you and only you" and held me a while so I am feeling great now. But I still want to know if/when lol.[/spoiler]
