Why does no one whine about Hawkmoon?
Ill pretext this by saying that the guns are fine, I don't really mind them.
But I see a lot of people complaining about thorn or The Last Word... NOTHING pisses me off like Hawkmoon.
With Thorn, if I'm hit with the burn, I trade kills or I immediately hide so the guy doesn't get the other head shot. With The Last Word, I rush and shotgun . Sure, both kill me a ton, but Hawkmoon, MAN....
It two shots so damn much. Almost 1/4th of the time. I can't tell you how many times I've been hit once and said "oh yeah I can get this guy " and then BAM bonus damage on the next head shot.
And I've had the pleasure of being one shot by a Hawkmoon...
I love it. It doesn't need a nerf and it is a great gun. But why doesn't it annoy people as much as the other two?

Unlike the other exotic handcannons, Hawkmoon just feels like a regular handcannon. The only difference is the 3 random bullets in the mag that do bonus damage and will sometimes stack. If you're already proficient with handcannons, this is a great one to have.

Because it is a skill weapon. Not everyone wield it right. I beat the crap out of them with my lv13 hunter using searcher mk.37.

42 RepliesPS4 players haven't gained as much competitive skill as Xbox players, and so don't understand the finer balancing issues of PvP gameplay. Although they may think they are good at competitive gameplay, in reality they are just below average when compared to real gamers.

My guess is because it hasn't been sold by xur. So crucible isn't flooded with hawkmoon unlike the other hand cannons.

Probably because it hasn't and cant be sold by Xur yet so people "earned" it. Dont worry as soon as its on xbox and sold by xur you can expect 100s of whiny threads from both console families.

I think hand cannons in general are rough to deal with cause they get you in 1-3 shots. And it doesn't even have to be sustained damage, due to the fact they take a huge chunk of health per hit vs an AR where you have to keep nailing them.

10 RepliesBecause players tend to have bad aim with primaries. So they spray thorn and last word for easy kills. Hawkmoon requires a bit more accuracy Example. I use no land beyond in pvp. My friends never want to play me in rumble because I constantly catch thier head when they come within my sights. But they don't complain because the gun requires intense aim. Hawkmoon is similar. But what do I know. I think all 3 hand cannons are simple kills.
