Why does no one whine about Hawkmoon?
Ill pretext this by saying that the guns are fine, I don't really mind them.
But I see a lot of people complaining about thorn or The Last Word... NOTHING pisses me off like Hawkmoon.
With Thorn, if I'm hit with the burn, I trade kills or I immediately hide so the guy doesn't get the other head shot. With The Last Word, I rush and shotgun . Sure, both kill me a ton, but Hawkmoon, MAN....
It two shots so damn much. Almost 1/4th of the time. I can't tell you how many times I've been hit once and said "oh yeah I can get this guy " and then BAM bonus damage on the next head shot.
And I've had the pleasure of being one shot by a Hawkmoon...
I love it. It doesn't need a nerf and it is a great gun. But why doesn't it annoy people as much as the other two?

Edited by Kibeth: 4/27/2015 6:19:42 PMPersonally I don't find it an issue because it is inconsistent. When you get lucky, it's broken. When you dont, you die. When it's in the middle, it's balanced. So people choose Thorn, TLW, Red Death, Vex, shotguns etc over it.

I have brought it up and tried to walk the fine line between whining and seeing what others think. I will say now that I have one I have a lot more respect for what it takes to really shoot it well.

Well a large number of players have never even encountered Hawkmoon. I'm on Xbox One so obviously I have never used nor faced it. I don't complain about any guns being overpowered though. The real complaint lies with other guns being underpowered. If autos were never nerfed I feel there would be a lot more variety and options for everyone. People just need to learn how to complain properly. Complain that things aren't good enough rather than complain something else is too good.

TLW IS BROKEN RIGHT NOW THAT IT DOES HIPFIRE DAMAGE WHEN AIMING 111 DAMAGE ACROSS MAP. 2 shot kill more often than not. Edit: Crucible is overrun by TLW and Thorn that no one notices Hawkmoon. Oh and Xbox doesn't have it yet. Half the community not knowing.

1 ReplyNot everybody has access to it yet. Everybody has a shot at Thorn and TLW. Once Xbox gets their hands on them it's going to be all over the forums.
