I've played a lot of control lately, and the more I play, the more I end up on teams that run to capture points for like two minutes, then make no effort to take points or retake points afterward. In my last game we were literally beaten by over 5000 points because my team was hanging out near spawn camping and trying (failing) to snipe the other team. I was literally alone trying to take objectives, so of course I'd get grenade spammed and shotgunned by people right before I could capture. It's just horribly frustrating.
