I'm having the same exact issues right now. First, it took forever to sign in to destiny. Kept cycling between connecting...signing in...verifying content for about 10 minutes. I was finally able to get in, go to the tower, pick up my bounties. Went to orbit and saw all the Dark Beyond content was locked as if I needed to purchase. I uninstalled the dlc and tried reinstalling but it failed every time! Restarting my network router, testing xbox live connection, and holding the power button on the console did nothing! I decided to uninstall and reinstall the whole game from the disc and it's downloading ridiculously slow at "Transferring Game Content" currently at 26% for almost two hours now. I don't think I'll be playing tonight! Please help, Bungie!!!
