Xbox 360 to Xbox one: game/character transfer?
I'm sure this has been talked about several times by now, but I'm looking to trade-up from Xbox 360 to Xbox One and was curious if I would need to start my Destiny characters and game progression over again, or would they be transferred via my xbox live account? Would hate to lose all my progress in game and restart my characters from 1.

Ok, I have tried to transfer my XBox 360 Destiny character to XBox one in Destiny 2 and it will not transfer, It doesn’t even recognize the Character I created! Any Idea’s or hints at what I am doin wrong?

The characters will transfer, but any system exclusives you got, will stay on the older gen... :/

The characters transfer between consoles actively. Meaning you can switch between the Current gen consoles and last gen at any point

3 RepliesIf you bought the digital copy of the game, you can get xbox1 destiny for free and transfer all your gear.

2 Replieseverything transfers, characters, gun, vault gear, DLC if purchased etc. The only thing you have to buy again is the game itself, unless you got the digital copy, in which case that transfers as well. I just did all of this a month ago when I moved to the one.

Everything is saved to your gamertag. You can go back and forth from 360 to One to 360, etc. seamlessly. I do it all the time.

3 RepliesThe only thing that gave me any trouble when i made the switch was the companion app. It never recognized my switch from 360 to one so it only tells me when my 360 friends are on.

Yeah I go back and forth between 360 and One through out the week do to life circumstance. If you bought the 360 digital copy you may get the One copy free, if that promotion hasn't expired. DLC I bought if for the One first, so I had to buy it for 360. Buying it in the wrong order but it was worth it

1 ReplyAnything from 360 you have you can redownload from the Xbox one game store. Only thing you can't get is the red sparrow if you preordered for 360.
