I was wondering whether it would be better for a bad PvPer(me) to prepare for trials by practicing with groups or trying to improve at crucible over all and then practice with groups. Any other advice is welcome. Also are there any ps4 groups interested in ToO and recruiting?

play more.

Rumble. It's rough but it's the best way to become a boss

Play skirmish, get good short to mid range weapons. Find a solid fireteam. Trials only takes place in shrine of glass so center your build around that map.

There are lots of good PvP training vids on YouTube, just weed through the garbage, I will try to find the one that helped me...I've almost recoved my k/d back to 1.0 on my lock, and my titan is like 1.5, I havnt played PvP much on my hunter...the main thing I got out of it was to control engagements, and cover all ranges with you weapon builds, and find primaries that have the radar perk, sensor pack or third eye...

2 RepliesLearn to play from the back. Scout + shotgun. Only use shotgun if you get rushed, aim for the head.

Stick your head between your legs and kiss your arse goodbye

Just play with a fireteam and get used to running in packs. It's going to be on burning shrine, so if you really want an advantage (as much as I hate when people do this) just stay at the back and snipe, so the enemy has sun glare in their eyes. Also try getting either the chests of alpha lupi or light beyond nemesis. Lighting quick revives will grant you that over shield. Very helpful in a firefight.

I would practice with groups. I expect the ToO to be full of pre-made fireteams and the likelihood of doing well alone is probably not going to be high. Playing in a fireteam is always a better experience anyway.

Just keep playing man. Youll get the hang of it in a few days

Practice in the crucible do the free for all mode learn from mistakes try not to get mad (it will get frustrating) it will help you learn engagment patterns and ways to learn the maps than get a team together that's the best I got hope it helped

Edited by The Fallen Zyzz: 4/25/2015 10:38:25 PMJust practice in crucible. Try and find a group. That might be difficult, though. Most groups want 2920+ Grimoire, all 32, game all night and sleep all day sorts of guys. If you enjoy reading, check out the Art of War. Try and apply some of the principles in that book to Destiny and other aspects of life.

Thorn.................

1 ReplyAdd me, xBlazingShadow. We can do some skirmish/other crucible modes together if you want. We can practice and get ready for ToO

4 RepliesFind 2 people to play with, play a ton of smirmish.

Just play more no amount of communication will compensate if you can't aim and stick to a play style that is comfortable to you, not what other people do.
-
2 RepliesTrials is for try hards and OP guardians with OP weapons... #i use TLW / Felwnters / blink combo = not a fun competition.... However If I'm not mistaken Scout Rifles are supposed to be used in the trials

I don't play pvp much but to do good in pvp just look on the forms and see what guns people complain about the most and use those.
-
Get good at praying you get put up against other bad people :p
-
Don't. Stay out of pvp.
-
Start getting familiar with: The Burning Shrine Skirmish Team callouts Heavy ammo spawns (where and when) Special ammo spawns Good pvp armor perks. Intellect & discipline armor Overall just start getting familiar with guns you can use successfully
