Gear does not= skill
I don't know where this came from but I started raiding again last night. Finished crota for my first time and was outslaying most 32s. Then did VoG on hard with 32s and again was playing top 2.
I think this community needs to be reminded this is not a mmo. Shooting skill, reaction time and effective use of your abilities still trump some perks and slightly faster cool downs.
I still have my level 1 starter set and use it in crucible all the time because it's humiliating to people to lose to a 22. I played with a 6 last night who was constantly coming in 1st-2nd in a rumble lobby by the way.. With a damn Gozen.

1 ReplyIt is very fun rekin as a low level xD I was lvl 12 with a handcannon that two shot at close range, and a shotgun with 10 less impact than felwinters lie, and had shot package. Was getting 27 kills a game :p

I'm in near full IB gear, I suck at pvp. So yeah, I grinded it out even though I lack pvp skill.

Edited by RoseScythe: 4/24/2015 6:11:07 AMA 32 won't have a level advantage over a 30 in a level 30 activity. The gear argument mainly concerns CE Hard, where enemies are level 33. Even a 32 is at a disadvantage here. A 31 is going to struggle, and a 30 is practically deadweight. Every other activity: 32's are basically 30's with a slightly higher defense stat, so I'm not surprised a skilled level 30 can easily "outslay" them.
