Obsidian Mind has a little bit of intellect and inverse shadow (gain more super energy from killing minions of the darkness) so it definitely outclasses the Skull. But if you don't have Obsidian Mind, the Skull isn't bad.

This. I've sharded at least 3 Skulls. Most useless helmet there is for a warlock IMO. Obisidian Mind has intellect as well and will get you that super 10 times faster than the Skull.
