Postmaster is not storage. He will only hold so many items then will delete oldest first. Also there is a time limit on how long he will hold on to an item before they are deleted.
Not sure why people keep thinking its extra storage.

i had the same issue i was farming and apparently got more then post master could handle and it deleted 2 of the new legendary engrams i had drop

They use him as [i]extra storage[/i] because the game doesn't make it clear that they will be deleted after [b]X[/b] amount of time.

Edited by s1l3nt: 4/23/2015 3:43:45 AMI know he deletes your items to make room for more items and that that makes it the worst place to try and make into "extra" storage. What i mean is that some people(me included) think an item being locked means it cant be deleted at all. I'm just asking for somebody to let people know that a locked item can still be deleted. The postmaster being one example. I would hate for someone to lose their weapons or items because, for whatever reason, they left them in the postmasters inventory thinking they were safe because they locked them.

Locking an item was only intended to prevent accidental deletions by the player. It doesn't mean it is impossible to delete the item. Bungie was simply trying to alleviate the massive amount of requests to have items restored after accidental deletions.
