What the heck are they good for aside from killing two thrall at a time if they are swarming? They seem like a weak crappy shotgun with a delay before it fires. A fatebringer does it better anyway. I never use these worthless weapons anymore, shit jumps around so fast it's hard to hit until you figure out the timing but even when you do they take a couple shots to kill anything large. They might have more range than a shotgun but they spread the shots too far and suck at mid to long range.
Many weapons are better for every situation I've found so far. Might be worth the hassle of the delayed firing if they were one shot kills on majors and ultras but so far I've found zero advantage and much disadvantage. Where if anywhere do you guys use fusion rifles?

2 RepliesNot worth much in pve, in pvp they were always my go to weapon type.
-
7 RepliesOh and also, why are you using a maxed out murmur if you hate fusion rifles
-
It's a broken weapon type. Supposed to be a bridge between shotguns and sniper rifles but doesn't work that way. Just a lame pvp weapon.
-
3 RepliesIt helped me (a terrible PVP player) complete the Thorn bounty (using Plug.1 void) last Iron Banner, so I'm cool with them.

Thorn bounty.

If I'm using bad juju I'll whip out light of the abyss because its maxed, I dunno, I'm a fan of them, light of the abyss is really good against the hive, its one shots vandals and knights and stuff like that, it has more range on a shotgun, you generally don't miss, they're really good, and why not, yeah I prefer using ice breaker for boss fights but for mobs of tier 2 [(I think) (vandals and knights and stuff)] enemies fusions rifles are where its at, that's just me though :)

Man I got a bad ass rare one last night from the crucible... If you play the crucible keep your eyes on those rare drop ... Some of them are really good (for crucible of course)... I think it's on my Hunter if you wanna check it out ... Has a funny name but the charge rate is so fast

4 RepliesThey counter shotguns man also a good way to take down blade dancers

7 Replies"That's an ascendant knight, yeah?" "Yep" "Alright, gimme a sec." -Brrrzzzt- "That's a pile of ash now, yeah?" "Yep." "Nice.Alright, Gaines. You're on clean-up duty." "Goddamnit..."

After they buffed shotguns, I haven't used them much either. I keep them simply for night falls when there's a good burn.
-
Used to use them all the time. Now I roll a shotgun and get it done in half the charge time

4 Replies100 rep points fusion rifle bounty And get one with armor piercing, then you can double kill more than just thrall
-
1 ReplySlow charge, high stability, high range fusions are what I use 90% of the time. 6 shots per charge, 600 dmg/shot(900-1000/shot when there is a burn). So 3600-6000 dmg from a range of 40 ft every couple seconds. Plus unlike a sniper rifle, you don't have to hit headshots for the full effect. If you can see their foot, you can hit full damage.

1 Replyyou never played with plan c
-
1 ReplyGet yourself a plug one 1, you won't worry about shields anymore.
-
3 RepliesI know Omnigul doesn't much care for a face full of "Light of the Abyss"
-
Fusion rifles are mid range shotguns. They let you melt Majors on a nightfall with Lightswitch without getting in shotgun range and risking a melee attack that'll take you out in one hit. Fusion rifles are great weapons to use against Atheon as well if you don't have a great sniper or you're not that good with them.

8 RepliesOne shot people from across the map in pvp
-
Plan c For killing people with shotguns in the sweet spot between their range and where yours ends. Before the nerf, over 1000 fusion kills in crucible.
-
Vex is all I need to say
-
The pocket is still good in crucible in the right hands as far as PvE I agree with you I don't use them any more at all
-
Pocket infinity on anyone activating a super besides a bubble...

7 RepliesIt's a 1 shot weapon like a shotty. But out to mid-range. To stop it being "op" it has a lengthy charge time. If it didn't, I'm sure you would crying for a "NERF"
