From what I hear the sleeper in the draft is the guy out of Baylor (forgot his name). Saw him play quite a bit last year, and I honestly think he'll do a lot better for a team than Winston or Mariota.

Bryce Petty is the guy you're thinking of. He is going to be a busy for two reasons. First, he plays in a system offense which doesn't translate well to the NFL. Second, at Baylor all his did was throw the long bomb since his reviewers were the fastest and the tallest

That's true, but I'm sure that he could adapt to a different style offense. On the other hand, someone like Aaron Murray isn't necessarily making waves in the NFL just because Georgia runs a pro style offense.

Every system is essentially like that now, it's what wins in college but sucks in pros.

Its mainly Baylor Oregon and Texas A&M

However it's also: Clemson Georgia Tech Virginia Baylor Iowa State Kansas Oklahoma State Texas Texas Tech Cincinnati South Florida West Virginia Illinois Indiana Michigan Northwestern Penn State Purdue Houston Memphis SMU Southern Miss Tulsa Akron Central Michigan Kent State Toledo BYU UNLV Utah Wyoming Arizona Oregon Auburn Florida Mississippi State Vanderbilt Arkansas State Louisiana-Lafayette Louisiana-Monroe Middle Tennessee North Texas Troy WKU Hawaii Nevada Utah State

Based on that list I'm not sure if you know what a system offense is

I thought we were talking about the spread offense...

That's who it is! Yeah but overall I think it's a very weak draft for QB's this year. Nothing that stands out. Winston and Mariota just feel like pre-draft hype, the same kind that put Manziel (lol) being taken in the first round last year. And they'll both implode like he did.

Edited by Redria: 4/21/2015 8:35:26 AMI find it funny how Connor shaw, a UDFA did leaps and bounds better in his lone start for Cleveland than JFF did in two starts

Remember how geno smith was the next great qb? Pre-draft hype is just silly sometimes
