When I'm doing the patrol bounties on Venus I like to ride by the VoG and help open the Vault. I like jumping on the pillar at the center sync plate and saluting the guardians as they enter. Does anyone else do this?

lol, yeah. If I'm riding past and see a VoG group in progress I always stop to help. Last time it was a bunch of 27&28s running into Normal Mode (I assume). I started floating around and killing Praetorians everywhere I could. Realized that they kept losing one side every time I wandered toward the center, so I just suck to that side and it went up nice a quick (fully leveled SwordBreaker works wonders, especially paired with Void Jolder's Hammer). I think three of them sent me PSN messages thanking me for the help.

Edited by jackcaj08: 4/22/2015 11:26:14 AMI do it all the time it's quite funny watching their reactions
-
If I happen to be there I do.
-
On the rare occasions I'm there and a team is going in I'll help. Have gotten a few invites for doing so as well.
-
Yep. You're not the only one. :)
-
We were running 5 person group and someone DC'd in the middle of the spire forming. Someone was helping us out like you described so we invited him to the fireteam/party chat and took him all the way through

Edited by Theron Sniper: 4/22/2015 8:35:48 AMI can carry one plate by myself we three manned it I think if we had help it might have gone smoother ( bottom left plate) we switched me in for that one and moved him to right and we did fine and finished after that as long as you have three good people you shouldn't need the fourth.

Edited by Reubenatrix: 4/22/2015 6:10:30 AMIf they can't open the spire, they got no business in the vault. You're not doing them any favours.

I've help build it, but not the salute. I'm going to start doing that.

Props for trying though.

Edited by Sonic Roctopus: 4/22/2015 6:59:19 AMI like to do this in return for them leaving me good player feedback... I know they take the time to do it and it's kind of them.

Last time I tried it turned out a guy was trying to solo it, and invited me to 2-man the raid. Long story, but I was sick and going afk every 10 minutes due to a virus, so I couldn't even help open the spire... but I wondered what he was thinking soloing the opening of VoG?
-
This is actually one of my favorite things to do in the game..
-
Lately I haven't seen anyone around there.
-
If I ever see anyone there, I'd be happy to help. But I don't often pass that way. Maybe I should.
-
Always pop by to help whoever is there.
-
Did it for the first time last week...every other time I pass by, no one is trying to do the VoG
-
I do it anytime i pass there and see people building the spire
-
I do it all the time. Made some good destiny pals from it
-

-
As much as I can.
-
This is how I found my best raid group ever. Our clan name is Betty white fan club
-
Just did this tonight when I drove by and saw "Vex taking control of sync plate". Glanced over and I saw them 5-manning so I jumped up to the middle and donated some rockets and nova bombs to the cause. Minutes later it was open.
-
I try to do this as much as I can, I honestly love helping people out with VoG
-
I do this

I've helped out a couple times then messaged them goodluck as they head inside
