House of Wolves Gear upgrade discussion
So, as everyone is aware, Bungie released a photo of fatebringer going from 300 base arc damage to 365. Making everyone excited for the old gear being relevant in this latest expansion. I've had a few questions regarding all of it, and I know we all have to wait until the stream of the Reef but I'd like to talk about some speculation.
Personally, I've had a question on whether or not they'll make past raid gear relevant to this expansion. Giving us the ability to upgrade old raid ARMOR to newer spec's. I love the Warlock's VoG gear, Hunter's VoG, and Titans Crota gear but will ANY of it be relevant or do you think it'll be weapons only?

i dont really mind how they plan on upgrading the vog weapons. whether i have to pay up and re-upgrade like in TDB thats with me a day of bounties and that weapon/armor is fully leveled. i also thought of things like what if they just made a level 32 version of vog were you could get the new versions. like i said it dosn't matter to me, why people whale about upgrading thing the way i TDB because to be honest the only thing that sucks about it is the glimmer consumption,but other than that is really easy even with exotics. people think just cuss you have to re-upgrade the weapons its a horrible thing, why? materials can be bought now and glimmer can be farmed to max in about an hour, and dont even get me started on ascendant/radiant material cuss by now you guys should have enough of these items to upgrade anything you wanted

If we have to completely re-upgrade legendaries like TDB had us do with exotics I might just play HoW a lot less often. I've been an addict and I don't have enough weapon and armor parts to upgrade what I have now, I'm not putting 100 hours into re-upping my previous gear again.

1 ReplyWhat I would like to see: Each raid being upgraded to the different difficulty settings. So a Vog 26, Vog 30, Vog 32, Vog 34 etc You get the idea it's less upgrade you gear and Weapons than have a chance to play for the gear at a higher level. Progress through the difficulties of that raid for instance, Rather than just grind for some mats to get an upgrade from a vendor. What I think will happen: We will get to grind for some mats and a rank with a vendor to purchase an upgrade to our weapons.
