Am I the only one nowadays who uses a respectable, NON hand cannon/shotgun Crucible build?? Yeesh
**So after everyone getting up in arms over a video game on the internet, throwing insults and trying to pick apart my character, play style, telling me they make more money than me (for real) etc...I just wanted to clarify that the main reason for this vent of a post was due to my crucible experience over the weekend with xur selling TLW. When 98% of people in every game are using tlw, mostly with shot guns, it made for a really irritating experience- hence the frustration. But please don't stop crying- especially you elitists- you have made this morning very entertaining for me! Keep flexing those internet muscles guardians! Too all of you taking this way too seriously...you da real mvp <3**
This last weekend was the nail in the coffin I think, with everyone on the planet obtaining TLW. I'm getting so tired of people running around with TLW or Thorn, with Felwinters Lie or something similar, and just hip firing a couple times til I'm dead. What happened to using skill? And before any of you say anything, I own all of those weapons...and they are absolutely boring to play with. Pissing people off is the only fun reason to use them (like me,) but does anyone think there will actually be any real form of balance to come to crucible? I use Gheleons Demise and Praedyths Revenge, with either corrective measure or truth (which is probably the most op out of all of them, but I have to find a way to stand up to all the hungers and gallys out there.) I find with my build, I can play accurately, skillfully and I don't feel like I'm pissing people off all day because I'm using some of the very few weapons left in the game that were balanced enough from the get go so it never had to be changed. Is this the crucible life I'm doomed to forever?
***EDIT*** I just realized I titled this with "I am" not "am i." I may be enjoying stirring the pot on this topic, but I'm not self centered like that I swear. My bad.

Ive always been a hc user i just got used to them during the story mode. But i got the fate bringer and i have noticed everyone using the thorn but my fb still kicks ass on pvp i can mess thorn users up with it. I can even mess them up with the galahad ar3

2 RepliesI don't really have sympathy for people who have these weapons and don't use them because "they're boring" or "I don't want to be too overpowered." I call bull on that. You're suppose to win in crucible and if you're presented with a way to have an advantage over your enemy then why not use it? Fact of the matter is you may just not be very good with hand cannons. It takes some time to adjust to them. I remember when i switched to thorn and had to learn how to use it. I guess I can understand if you don't particularly like hand cannons, and would rather use a scout rifle, but that's your choice. You choose to not take advantage of thorn and last words overpoweredness. With the exception of shotguns I normally use whatever is most powerful as it gives me the best odds against enemies.

1 Replypretty much all there is. I've laughed at the constantly recurring bounty "kill 10 guardians on vehicles" lol? Only 1 map in the DLC playlist for this week is capable for that bounty, the only map playable for the whole game this week for it. Bungie really needs to keep these playlists perminant. There wasn't even weekend playlist this week anybody else notice this? Doubles, combined arms, salvage, inferno playlists.

I use what kills people. They nerfed auto rifles, and subsequently opened the door on hand cannons and pulse rifles. I will use what is most likely to get me kills, not get me killed.

1 ReplyWhy does it matter? I used to rock ars. My Warlock still has more ar kills than hc in crucible. But, the nerf forced me into hcs, pulses, or scouts. Every mow and then i play around with my mida or bad juju but they really aren't my favorite. Once i realized my handcannons dropped people in half the time my ar took i switched. Its not my fault the weapons have mo semblance of balance

3 RepliesListen up. I'm sick of all these -blam!-ing threads telling people they suck for usif certain guns. Guess what? I busted my ass to get Thorn and I'm going to use it because it's a good gun. So before you start throwing your shit at people, maybe have some respect for people who like the guns.

1 ReplySounds like you don't play close range. Both all those weopens you listed are great for mid-long range. The maps in destiny are very close quarter combat, so tge TLW and shotguns do great in. I would love longer range maps.

I'm trying out evergreen and murmur. I have TLW but then it seems everybody else does, I'm only in crucible for the juju bounty and once that's done in not stepping foot back in until another bounty pops up, terrible terrible place.

I use the weapons that are most likely to get me kills. That usually means running some combination of MIDA, Hawkmoon, Secret Handshake, and LDR. So sometimes I run the long-range set (Skyshock), but yeah, I usually have either a hand cannon or shotgun on, sometimes both.

I agree it seems every kill in pvp is either with tlw, thorn and felwinters, or swordbreaker. My personal build for pvp is scout rifles through and through.
