Am I the only one nowadays who uses a respectable, NON hand cannon/shotgun Crucible build?? Yeesh
**So after everyone getting up in arms over a video game on the internet, throwing insults and trying to pick apart my character, play style, telling me they make more money than me (for real) etc...I just wanted to clarify that the main reason for this vent of a post was due to my crucible experience over the weekend with xur selling TLW. When 98% of people in every game are using tlw, mostly with shot guns, it made for a really irritating experience- hence the frustration. But please don't stop crying- especially you elitists- you have made this morning very entertaining for me! Keep flexing those internet muscles guardians! Too all of you taking this way too seriously...you da real mvp <3**
This last weekend was the nail in the coffin I think, with everyone on the planet obtaining TLW. I'm getting so tired of people running around with TLW or Thorn, with Felwinters Lie or something similar, and just hip firing a couple times til I'm dead. What happened to using skill? And before any of you say anything, I own all of those weapons...and they are absolutely boring to play with. Pissing people off is the only fun reason to use them (like me,) but does anyone think there will actually be any real form of balance to come to crucible? I use Gheleons Demise and Praedyths Revenge, with either corrective measure or truth (which is probably the most op out of all of them, but I have to find a way to stand up to all the hungers and gallys out there.) I find with my build, I can play accurately, skillfully and I don't feel like I'm pissing people off all day because I'm using some of the very few weapons left in the game that were balanced enough from the get go so it never had to be changed. Is this the crucible life I'm doomed to forever?
***EDIT*** I just realized I titled this with "I am" not "am i." I may be enjoying stirring the pot on this topic, but I'm not self centered like that I swear. My bad.

4 RepliesMy titans pvp is oversoul, secret handshake, and thunderlord. Hunter currently running NLB, dead orbit shotty, and one way ticket I only really use shotties to counter other shotties. Primary weps ftw!

You're scout rifle I dont have a problem with but you also use the easiest sniper and two of the best heavies for PvP. Also what the shit is up with that screen shot? Looks like you dipped the picture in doodoo water.

Respectable? Is there some sort of Geneva Convention on weapons that can be used? Maybe both teams should line up In the middle with no land beyond and just take turns shooting at each other standing still, because that would be the gentleman thing to do. I don't use hand canons but I own all the ones that everybody seems to hate and I just don't understand why so many people come onto the forums spouting nonsense like this. Respectable ha I assume you use a sniper cowardly weapons, the dregs in patrol might be respectful enough for you I suggest you stop weighing your team down.[spoiler]stay off the playground it's for big kids[/spoiler]

1 ReplyRespectable? First off, this is a subjective opinion. Secondly, this is a game where the point is to win. That means using whatever gun setup works the best for you. If you CHOOSE not to, then that is just fine. Don't push your choices onto others though. What you consider respectable, I may consider trash - or vice versa. In fact, I switch up my weapon choices a bit to see what works that day, but if I find a combo that is working I will stick to it. This is what many will do. If that involves a combo that you don't think is "respectable", then too bad for you. My best suggestion is to adapt and move on. So, good luck in your gaming and remember that the world doesn't revolve around what you think is "respectable".

I'm a primarily primary weapon user. So when I'm serious/annoyed/neutral Hawkmoon. When I'm bored and want to mess around, I use No Land Beyond and for secondary a IB sniper. Double snipes man.

It's part of the game. Everyone plays differently. everyone has their own weapon of choice. just because you don't use handcannon and shotgun. Does not make you more respectable. I'm guessing you made this post with rhe the simple fact that you got own by ppl that are using that setup....

I was getting thrashed time and time again until i got my hands on The Secret Handshake that fires in full auto mode and never looked back. Don't understand the whining about handcannons, i tried TLW but found it way to difficult so good luck to those using them.

I feel you,it'd be nice to die with some originality in crucible. I enjoy death with more interest when u get killed by the old skill 300 damage guns I've been getting fudged up by as of late. Makes me miss my doctor nope haha but since I'm postin this.. I need 2 for NF! 32 Titan with maxed void weapons. GT-same as above #shamlessPlug

2 RepliesSo, you're basically saying people should NOT have a particular build because it's popular? I'm all for trying out new playing styles, but Thorn, Felwinter's Lie, Jolder's Hammer is THE ultimate build for any map. Cry about it if you like, but I'll play the game how I please.
