Bungie have an impossible task here; as much as I've enjoyed Destiny (though that's tapered off lately), they're going to be up against my inner child.. the one who, at age four, was captivated by the original Star Wars... the one who vividly remembers being in a cinema in Leicester Square, London, to watch The Empire Strikes Back in the first week of release, and who waited for three long years to find out how it all ended in Return of the Jedi.
Between the Battlefront gameplay trailer and the Force Awakens teaser, the past few days have felt like we've gotten a glimpse of what Santa is going to be placing under the tree and, just like that, each and every ardent fan has felt their inner child smiling and laughing.
For Destiny 2 (and similar games) to compete against this, It's not even a fair fight... it's like going up against Han Solo; it doesn't really matter who shoots first (though it was totally Han), we all know who wins.
