Thorn IS op.
Before I get a bunch of op is fgt let me explain something. I use thorn a good bit and I realize it's weakness and strong points.The only thing that I think thorn should be nerfed on is fire rate. This would make thorn definitely still a threat but just a little more time between each shot would allow for some countering.
I know that a gun like this does take skill believe me but the time to kill on thorn is faster than most guns.
Edit:I would like to thank the people who were nice and agreed with me or didn't. I just wanted people's opinion on my idea and I got mixed reviews about it,but I stand by it please debate further and I will too.
Everyone who says that I need to get better or change my style just know I came to this conclusion by using thorn weeks on end and I think it's a valid nerf

9 RepliesI dont believe in using the word "overpowered". However, i think if bungie does indeed slow thorn's fire rate it would calm some people down. In my opinion crucible is balanced nicely (auto rifles could use a little bit of a damage buff though). If the fire rate is nerfed or left the same, i wouldn't care either way.

1 ReplyDrop the impact down. That's all that needs to be done. Maybe decrease mag size by 1. That impact and the burn is super good together, almost too good. Just drop the impact slightly and make people have to actually make there shots count and we're good.

1 ReplyI still get out shot a lot (to be fair, I'm horrible at crucible) so I don't think its too fast, I can also outshoot thorn with any pulse rifle or the last word. I use it and the way I counter people using it on me is zig zagging

6 RepliesI agree, as it stands, it is way too overpowered. Not in the sense that it's good in the hands of good players, but that it is also way too deadly in the hands off so-so players. It's fire rate is honestly the biggest problem. Either that or change the clip size back to pre buff days, or lengthen reload speed

4 RepliesI'm tired of people crying over shit. Look if a weapon is great just leave it as it is even if it's overpowered a bit who cares it's people like you that make this game less fun. See all the weapons that got nerfed it really affects us PVE players and it's B.S. Weapons are exotic for a reason.

1 ReplyIt sure as hell isn't op in my hands! I actually wasn't a bad crucible player, but recently I was like, ok, gotta level this bad boy up and get my skirmish game going for the trials... And im doing just as well as i would with my bad juju or Mida, if not worse.

4 RepliesOnce you accept the Crucible for what it is, it becomes much more enjoyable. Here is a key concept you must understand: The Crucible is [b]not[/b] balanced. Certain guns clearly out perform others (Thorn, TLW, Red Death, Feltwinter's Lie, Vex, etc). If it were balanced auto rifles would be a viable option, but against any good player with some of the mentioned weapons, they are not. If you get frustrated with losing to these guns (and Lord, it pains me to say this) you should use them yourself. Then, and only then, will things begin to feel truly balanced (at least to an extent). If you enjoy using one of the top tier weapons, you will enjoy the Crucible more. It took me a while before i finally gave in to using some of the better weapons. That being said, i'm not opposed to a couple nerfs here and there (or better yet, an auto rifle buff) for some of the mentioned weapons... [b]SO LONG AS IT ONLY AFFECTS PVP[/b] (not the auto rifle part though).

1 ReplyI would say replace send it with hammer forged. Send it for whatever reason makes the gun just auto headshot and that's why it's such a crutch. Not only that but hand cannons need to be separated from simply being better scout rifles and send it simply shouldn't exist as a perk on hand cannons.
