There is a clear abundance of Strange Coins, and in my opinion, putting an Exotic up for sale for something as common as Strange Coins, kind of devalues the Exotic.
At least, for only 23/17 Strange Coins
Edit: I suppose this is only my current situation, I realize now that casuals usually don't have an abundance of Strange Coins ಥ﹏ಥ

There's an abundance for us maybe, because most of us here play a lot and are dedicated enough to post on forums every day. The average player probably has to scrape coins together just to buy one weapon every few weeks.

Personally, I'd like to see a larger, static inventory for Xur with items coming at a higher price.

The people in these forums are a vast minority of people playing destiny. Most people don't have 3 characters, don't play 20 hours a week, and don't have enough strange coins to buy something from xur every week.

1 ReplyClear abundance of strange coins? Maybe if your only life is playing Destiny for 50-60 hours a week. Doing level 30 weekly strikes nets you 27 coins over three characters. Average players likely get 3-5 more via engrams from ROC strikes and random sources. If RNG cooperates, you might get 10-12 more from a Nightfall (might being the operative word). So sticking with the 30-34 average per week, how is 23 coins considered "cheap"? The game is meant for ALL players, not just hardcore ones. Not every player is level 30 and above.

You forget the entire game is taylored to casuals who have 1 toon and far less coins as you may have

My proposal, posted a few times: - Hold back a few specific weapons for bragging rights - Sell ALL other weapons ALL the time, for 75-120 or so strange coins - Sell one weapon per weekend at the current price (ie that weapon is on sale) - Raid armor and everything else aside from exotic weapons still come from RNG only - Exotic weapons still available via RNG, just not exclusively Net result is that nobody has to do the same thing over and over hoping to get lucky (other than things like ships and sparrows that are more for bragging rights). If you are a dedicated player, you can get a Gjallahorn, might take weeks or months of saving up, but you can get it. This might cause some longtime players to lose interest, but I think it would be a lot more appealing for new players and intermediate players, which is where the game's popularity needs boosting the most.

Naw, the engram drop rate from Raids and Roc Strikes needs to be increased.
