Can't get past level 26
I'm having trouble getting past lvl 26. I've done plenty of strikes and few Eris bounties and a lot of regular bounties. I have rank 1 Vanguard and FWC. Do I just need to get them to level 2 and 3 to really do anything?

U are in the rep grinding stage rank up vanguard for legendary gear to level up do roc strikes and bountys prolly the best way plus u may get lucky drops during strikes

Get one to rank three, you can buy their 31 gear for marks/commendations

Weekly heroics give you a lot of cool, and you probably only want to focus on one thing. If you get mug more vanguard marks than crucible than solely focus on vanguard bounties and the weekly. It takes a long time I remember the grind. I only have rank three of all but fwc on my warlock.

Pretty much, unless you find a team to play vog with and then crota, then you need to level up your vanguard rank to buy purple gear and do strikes for points. If you get lucky you might get some purple from those Roc Strikes.

You need legendary ape to get past 26. Rank up Vanguard to buy it with marks. Or start raiding, VOG then Crota when you can, which will get you there faster.

2 RepliesIf you don't play much Crucible and are simply looking to get more Light on your armor, don't bother with any faction other than Vanguard. FWC, Dead Orbit, etc all take Crucible commendations and marks to buy their stuff. Get Vanguard to Rank 3 to start getting some armor and look to [url]https://www.destinylfg.net/[/url] to find people to play through the Raids on (I would recommend starting with Vault of Glass on Normal after you top level 26).

Do I just need to get them to level 2 and 3 to really do anything?[/quote] For what it's worth I just did rok strikes and lots of them , hated patrols but the advice that proved best was before turning in bountys equip weapons and abilitys that need upgrading , just hang in there fella it gets worse as I've plateaued at 30.....

Raid gear is your ultimate best bet here.

Farm vanguard an crucible commendations. Will they still use them for HoW? Not sure but it worth soon it. You can also rank up your faction and get legendary gear from them. But you will commendations, which you get after a 3 rank with each rank up.

Yep, rank up vanguard to lvl 2 and buy your gear. Should boost you a few levels just equiping it. You also need a maxed exotic armour piece.

Save up vanguard marks and buy armor when the new dlc comes out.

Yes. You want to get vanguard at least up to rank 2 so you can get armor from them. Then when you hit rank 3 you get a comendation. Same for the war cult. If you can get both of those to 3 and some crucible and vanguard marks, you can get a full set of legendary armor. From there you should be able to do the vault of glass on normal. After a few times of that you should get some upgrade mats. Once you hit 30 you can start doing the weekly heroic at the highest level and the nightfalls, once you've got about 12 strange coins you can buy an exotic from xur. And you can start doing crota's end as well. All in all it takes about 3 weeks of time in this game to gear up, due to the reset timers.

Save up for vanguard armour, once you're level 27 i could carry you through Crota's end

Get rank 3 in any faction, get 200 marks in vanguard or crucible depending on your faction, but their armor set. That will guarantee you level 31.

Save up vanguard and crucible marks and buy a full set of legendary armor, that should bring you to 31, then run crota's end to get to 32.

7 Replies26 is the game's hardest level to be at. It seems to slow to a snails pace, but once you pass it you will be fine.

How....? Buy vendor gear, level it, and run dailies for shards......you'll be 31 in a few weeks.

dont try leveling up a faction till at least 28
