I see lots of people asking for Xur to bring Gjallarhorn, but the fact is Thunderlord has never been sold. What makes this Machine Gun so special? I've watched the reviews and it's one of two exotics I haven't acquired, but I'm not sure why it's so special that it's never been offered by Xur. I use Against all Odds and couldn't imagine a better machine gun.
Does anyone have both Thunderlord and Against all Odds? Please, let me know which one you prefer!
Edit: Sounds like a fun weapon. If it's as OP as many describe it'll be nice if one dropped before PoE releases. See you starside Guardians!
Edit: Well, looks like Xur is going to gain a customer today after hearing all the positive reviews from the community. Just so we're clear; this post was originally posted 3 weeks ago.
Edit: Maxxed out my Thunderlord in 2 days and I'm not very impressed. I'd rather keep my AaO equiped for a better exotic option.

Against All Odds is awesome, absolute monster in PVP. Thunderlord is too, but I usually don't want to use my exotic slot on it in PVP.
-
You see here. There is quantity and quality. Some say quantity is better. Others say quality is better. But the all truth is, you want a quantity of qualities. Thunderlord brings just that. For those who have no idea what that means, there are two types of machine gun. Fast fire rate, low impact, and then the low fire rate, high impact. Thunderlord is. Fast fire rate with HIGH impact.

I have both. If no burn is on. Thunderlord is better because it is the best. But it takes up an exotic slot.
-
I hope he sells it. Its one of my favorite exotics and i want everyone to enjoy it.
-
I love corrective measure.
-
I think the reason it's so special is because he hasn't sold it. But if he does so be it. Once obtained, excitement tends to fade
-
He better not sell it cause I just got it from the nightfall
-
I have both and they are both great. That being said the Thunderlord is not that much better that it should occupy an Exotic slot.
-
2 RepliesBecause it's not for scrubs
-
Because it's the last exotic weapon that I need.
-
11 RepliesThunderlord should be earned not bought for some measly coins.
-
Yes I have both, and while Thunderlord is a beast I only tend to use it during arc burn nightfalls and weeklies.
-
Idk man I own both and honestly don't use it much over my against all odds except for arc burns tlord wrecks.

Because Yall are skrubs!

1 ReplyTo get to the other side.

It's nice for crucible. Better than against all odds
-
Has a hidden firefly perk that happens randomly
-
7 Repliescuss ya got to have a thunderdick to unlock the weapon lol
-
It's BADASS! Great rate of fire with great handling. Tears everything apart, quite literally. Plus it looks awesome.

Because there needs to be a few carrots left at the end of the stick to chase. "Ehh, What's up Doc?" - Buggs

I have Thunderlord, against all odds, Jolders hammer and harms way. The hidden firefly perk is what makes Thunderlord such a beast. Absolutely destroys with arc burn. All of them are great guns, so I usually go with whatever elemental is appropriate in pve. In pvp it's Thunderlord all the way unless I wanna use my primary exotics, then it's Jolders.
-
I have both. They are both great but thunderlord is better. The firefly perk is pretty cool.
-
Thunderlord is better than against all odds... I have both also
-
I have 3. 2 from crota normal and 1 from a purple engram dropped by a lvl 19 cabal while glimmer farming exclusion zone. If I can get one from a lvl 19 cabal...everyone should be able to buy it..
-
Not trying to gloat but I've gotten 6 of the things. I don't see what's so special about them. A Jolder's/ All odds is a sufficient replacement. If I ever feel like running an exotic in the heavy I'll just use Ghorn, but mostly I like keeping my exotic slot open for primary/secondaries. It's does some work on arc burn nightfalls but otherwise it's a vault
