Which Primary gun do you think is better for the Abyss?
These are generally the 2 best guns for the Abyss in CE
I want to know what you think is the best
Edit 1: I see a lot of people talking about Ice Breaker this post is referring to Primary weapons

depends how im running it.. if were doing it normal as a team, fatebringer for sure.. if im running it as my hunter, then mida for the speed as im not really shooting much lol

Out of those choices fb. Personally I think is not that great for the abyss but that's me. It shoots so damn slow. I prefer a good scout with firefly. Also I don't like to leave people behind. Sure I can, who can't solo it but who the hell likes sitting around watching someone else play while they are dead.

I often switch between them both, they're both crazy useful and for sure the only two I cycle between when I run through the abyss

Ice Breaker is all you need. It gives +2 agility AND explosions to kill groups of thrall with one shot. Best of both worlds. But to answer the poll, Fatebringer allows you to use Ice Breaker or Gjallarhorn so that's what I use

Stopped doing the abyss, 3 weeks after hard mode was out. No point.

I don't even use a primary. Just run Icebreaker with 2+ agility. It blows up everything :D

1 ReplyIt really depends. Are you trying to cheese it? If so, I would recommend the Mida-Multi-Tool. If not, I would say Fatebringer. Are you a Titan, Hunter, or Warlock? If you use a Hunter or Warlock with Blink, use that combined with the Mida-Multi-Tool's boosted movement speed, and you should be able to get up the ledge. If you are a Titan, I would use any subclass with increased heght lift in order to get up the ledge. If you are not trying to get up the ledge, I would use a Fatebringer because it's Explosive Rounds are good for taking out packs of thralls, as well as the ice breaker with its own perk. A strategy that works for me is that I cleanse my weight of darkness fully, and then use whatever ability I have to get on top of the the lamp. This not only lets my weight of darkness wear off,

2 RepliesFor me, I run Another NITC, it's because it has firefly on it, if you kill 1 and there in a pack of 20, all 20 of them dies. Secondary I use icebreaker. Similar to my primary, but this time I don't need to land headshots. Just blank fire into the crowd and they all explode. Against all odds, simply because it down enemies quickly and it can make quick work of a mob of enemies.
