NHL. Series, increase in energy, better plays (typically), and even the lowest seed can be ridiculously good (see also: this years Penguins; 2012's Kings).

Also last years Kings. Were 8 seed and won the cup. I agree with you.

Kings won the cup from the third divisional seed last year. Three game sevens to start the tournament, then beat the Rangers in five just because they could. [spoiler]They're my second favorite team. [/spoiler]

oh shoot that's right. They were down 3-0 vs the Sharks and came back to win the series.

I want to say that was the fourth time in history it's happened. If I remember right they're the only team to win the first three series in game seven and then win the cup.
