Cheesing atheon(not condoning it) doesn't have a negative effect on other players.

  • Can't disagree until you further explain. I don't play much pvp. If two guys kill each other how does it effect me. Not saying you are wrong.

  • Players boosting each other for stats or otherwise has been looked down on and been a bannable offense in many other games, for reasons such as boosters gaining unfair advantages, depreciating the accomplishments of others, or hindering performance. Apparently they were boosting for the Thorn bounty, the dilemma of which can be disputed either way. Some feel others cheesing it devalues the time and effort they spent getting their legit Thorn, and others don't care. The players in the video, however, crossed the one line that would've kept them in favor with those that don't care when they began using OP, an innocent player with no part in their boosting, as the bait for their kills. That is the purest example of these player's actions having a negative impact on another player. Now you say you don't PvP much, I'll say I don't raid much myself. When I have though, any time people have said "I'll jump across and you shoot the Ogres", I've never had my rewards repressed or been sabotaged by teammates or whatever. The difference being PvE cheesing doesn't hurt other players involved.

  • Ok so I see the point being made. By involving someone who is not boosting it wrecks the experience. Just like cheesing the bridge or atheon could ruin the pve experience. The big dif is personal scores and Kd ratio. While not a game changer people take pride in it.

  • If two guys or more are boosting in a game of rumble (that's the easiest way to do it and you can take in a fireteam of 3) then it means it's a game between 4 or less players from start to finish. As what usually happens in a game of rumble there's one or two players that will dominate. So that means the other one or two players who are doing it legit are getting shafted constantly by the sweaties in the lobby without ever having the chance to get some kills for themself. Said player who just got crushed repeatedly as a result doesn't enjoy himself. Also, people want to win their games because winning rumble is a good feeling. Someone who just spent an entire game sniping his mate on the head 20 times robs someone else of that through cheating. Contrast that to cheesing atheon where you used to make an NPC fall off the edge of the map and give everyone loot.
