I think the XB1's UI does need some refinement, especially an increase in responsiveness of the double press of the home button (nothing like being forced into the home screen when trying to record a clip mid match), but I much prefer reading text messages because it doesn't require me to listen to some kid breathing heavily into his mic, "Message to all friends, *breathing* I'm looking for a Hard Crota, *breathing* send me an invite" Much quicker to glimpse at a little text and know how to respond, which is quick on the smartglass app
