Wow how many people left destiny this week is scary
Friends list playing destiny is about 1/3 of what it was a week ago and LFG is so quiet. Hope Bungie know what they are doing, looks to me they just lost a massive percentage of players.

Thanks everyone for the response, Just to clear things up i was talking about the massive drop after HoW announcement, Some have seen it also some not. I understand that the game has been out a long time and player base will always drop.
i think i agree with the points saying most people are taking a break. I think lots of people were still playing trying to get gear and level up gear for the new raid but now that isn't happening they are comfortable with the gear they have. Hopefully people are just going to wait and see what HoW really has to offer. Personally I will be running VoG a few time to try to get the weapons i dismantled when i thought they'd be stuck at 300 but not much else. IB might be worth a run if those weapons are also able to go to 365?

25 RepliesWe have had virtually no information passed to us about arena or what it will entail. IMO anyone who has left without any factual information about the content the community is better off without them. Bunch of cry babies, makes me embarrassed to be a gamer.

Well what I have noticed on my friends list is the people that have tried to quit destiny have been from one game to the next. Just trying to find one that will hold there attention like destiny has. Some have played as many as 5 different games my sons are guilty as well. Not me I love the game played alpha and beta and still here.

The correlation you make is bad. Just because the news of How came out and your friends list being empty has nothing in common. Plus the amount of people I have playing destiny is minimal. - People "left" but will be back for DLC2 - 3 32's players have little reason to play - I'm also taking a break after this week. Finally got burned out. And I find no reason in getting my least favorite character to 32 So I'll be back Destiny. May 19th :)

1 ReplyOriginally every single person on my playlist was on Destiny...that's down to 3 people including myself. That's down from over 20 people by the way, just to be clear on that. It's been like that for months, and now those of us that remain fully active are heading in skeptical. We will scout out the Arena, and if it's not worth playing we'll tell everyone to forget Destiny for good.

2 RepliesWell me and my buddies stopped playing recently just because we got really tired and bored of destiny and now own different games that we are interested in. It has nothing to do with the anything else other than the fact that we have more interesting games to play besides destiny and we just got a little bored. When the house of wolves comes out, I don't think we will get back into the game, just because we lost interest.

Alot of people left already.not enough content for this style of game.its a shame because i love it but i too left for now. Myself as well as alot of other people that left will come back when dlc drops. But without a new raid they pissed alot of people off.

It's been declining a bit in my friends list for a few weeks , especially towards end of week ( Sunday - Monday ) but usually most ppl on for reset day. . Think we all just a bit ground down and looking for some fresh content :)

Saying a huge percentage of players have left because there are less online on your friends list is like saying global warming isn't real because it's cold where you live.

My 3 pages has shrunk to half a page. I still get a full page on Tuesday but by the next day half a page. HoW will increase numbers into summer but expect a sharp drop in players by fall. That decrease will never be regained. Destiny will be left with the casuals who only play one game a year.

14 RepliesAll of the people saying they're quitting know good and damn well they'll be back on May 19th. Don't believe what the naysayers spout off at the mouth with. Besides, MKX and GTAV for PC just released, so a lot of people are spending time playing those games. It's just a temporary lull...at best.

ya same here, went from 4-5 pages of friends on Destiny to 1 maybe 1 1/2 pages on now...LFG was a ghosttown yesterday when it usually is filled with tons of people

I'm not here to bash, but I have to admit that several of my friends aren't on much, anymore. As others have noted, playing other games. Just anecdotal information, but anectdotal adds up to empirical quickly.
