Why do people lie about knowing what to do during a raid?
We ask you because we want to help you, if you lie we just get frustrated!
Me and another ask if everyone has done the raid as most of them are 30 or below on a normal VoG run. Everyone says yes.
First teleport - nobody picks up the relic
Second teleport - I grab relic and nobody shoots oracles, instead they shoot the enemies on mars. I tell them to focus on oracles as relic can handle it.
Third teleport - Uhhhh how do I use this thing?
They never stopped shooting the enemies, we succumbed to oracles almost every time, the amount of times they died from standing on the ground playing poker with suplicants was way to damn high.
It never got better, they never seemed to listen. Its rare I give up on a team but me and the other person that were trying to help just couldnt handle it.
This isnt the first time its happened but come on, its normal VoG.....
Thats my rant.

I had something very similar not so long ago. There were like only two of us who could speak English. And no one shot oracles.

4 RepliesSome people never bother learning the raid and only know a very specific role. We were down to a four man team on VoG hard once and three of us were teleported. After killing the oracles, the gate never opened. Turns out the fourth guy just stood on a safety platform killing supplicants because that's what his friend taught him to do in his first run. And in the consequent runs he would say "I'm not touching it." As if it were a matter of fact and completely unapologetic. I just hate teammates who are completely useless and not beneficial to the team.

I'll never do Atheon with a friend again after he pulled a stunt like this right in my face. Gets teleported to Mars and I know this is his first time ever. I had just finished explaining the fight to him and told him don't pick up relic since you are new to this just shoot oracles. Dude gets teleported picks up relic, kills snipers then when we are all blind he doesn't know how to use the LB bubble, we as a team try to explain it and instead of holding the button he repeatedly mashes it we stay blind, team wipes and he blames it on a glitch while insisting that he knew the whole time what to do and that he'd done it before -.-'

I know I hate it when they lie and don't learn. I was with a group the other day that after 20 wipes a kid said "wait I'll watch a YouTube video on how to run relic". After watching video total time of two wipes he started telling me the only successful relic holder what to do. No I left found some ransoms and beat it second try because hobgoblins sniped me out of the air the first Mars teleport. But it only took two teleports on hard and I got chatter white. *facepalm*

In fear if being kicked and or ridicule that follows. It is a very small minority of players that will help others through or get a clearer understanding of the raids.[spoiler]been on both sides of the gun.[/spoiler]

Sometimes with randoms it'll take 5 minutes to down Atheon. Other times it'll take 45.

2 RepliesI only have about 18 start to finish VoG completions, a bunch of starts, and a bunch where I hopped in at Aetheon, only three of which were on Hard. I have a few CE Starts, but I've only ever made it up to the Death Singer

3 RepliesDon't run normal VoG. Run hard only as Level 32s tend to be less clueless on what to do. If you're 32, chances are you have some sense of strategy and more than likely completed Crota once. Honestly, I just grab the Relic if no one wants it. Fun to use and I enjoy it. What I didn't like is one time on Atheon hard, we get teleported and the first guy keeps clear of the Relic like its cancer, while the second guy is yelling "Pick up the Relic!" I don't pick up the Relic straight away to see if someone else wants it, and it also helps me figure out who can use it and who can't. Can't tell you how many times I've waited a second or two and both the other Guardians don't touch it. We're talking 32s as well. If you want to get good at Relic, watch some tutorials and learn it.

2 RepliesI have never lied, nor have I ever admitted that at times I didnt know what I was doing. I keep quiet and only answer what i need to. Being a very receptive gamer, I usually get things down on my first run through. I will admit that I still dont know how to build the bridge or whatever on Crotas End as I have only cheesed it. I usually follow others and listen. Between that and not dying often I usually go unnoticed. At this point, CE is kind of a joke and I have little to no problems in there. Someday I hope to find a group that doesnt mind doing a couple of wipes on Crota as I would like to try to run the sword. I know Hunters have the sweet spot there... But seeing that my Warlock has gear made to run the sword, I would love to test it out and learn the ropes... I of course wouldnt suggest this unless i was comfortable with my group kind of thing...

Heck I never lie, I wanna succeed! Lol, and if I even have any doubt about what I need to I promptly ask, that's just me though, being insecure and not wanting to feel the guilt of being the reason my fireteam failed.
