Could be a debuff on a timer (15 min maybe) that stacks like weight of darkness the more you drink (has a stagger effect like gta) Think of the possible fun with a raid team. Ten drinks each - now let's go get that bastard Crota! (I can see the hilarious you tube videos now!)

Maybe we can buy a Gale (Guardian Ale) at a vendr which is located there vor one glimmer. After this item gets consumed the vision gets blurry for one minute^^
