Why does everyone think HoW has a postponed raid?
Everywhere I look when people complain about House of Wolves not having a Raid, people comment saying, "There is one, its just not with the release." or "They are making it perfect, so it wasn't like Crota's End".
This is quickly becoming a rumor and a misconception by some, as Urk's article clearly says,
"[b]House of Wolves will not have a Raid activity[/b]. We didn't make this decision lightly. Our team has been humbled by the reception of Raids in Destiny and [b]we are creating a new Raid for a [i]release[/i] later this year[/b]."
House of Wolves won't have one; they didn't say in the future, or we are postponing it. They said it will not have one! Period.
Secondly, notice how I highlighted [b]release[/b]. They are making a new raid for later this year for a [b]release[/b]. When they mean a release, they mean a DLC, and the next DLC we know of for the future is Comet: Plague of Darkness.
So, please, don't believe the rumor that House of Wolves will get a Raid, and secondly, don't go about telling people that!

The house of wolves could mean the period between the DLC and comet, or the May 22 release. If it is the latter, all they are saying is there won't be a day 1 raid.

It is precisely what Urk said..."for a release LATER this year." Meaning in the future..some people say he means a release of a raid for Comet, but if he did, he would have said it. So, later this year means in 1-2 months after HOW's release, there will be a raid pertaining to HOW..

5 RepliesIF there ever was a planned raid for HoW it was scrapped very early on. You dont just commit all that time/money to such a large piece and then not put it in. Guaranteed the next raid will drop with Comet, which will come out in December bc it got pushed back. And you will know HoW never had a raid bc Comet will release with only 1 raid.

You are an idiot if you think they are working on a new one. They are releasing the HOW raid later because its less work and would help prolong log in hours. You clearly have not been paying attention to the business model of destiny.

Because it wasn't ready or they want to make H.O.W have more playable content before comet. So they release it later to drag out H.O.W.

The people hoping that the raid will be a free piece of content don't know for sure... Kinda like u don't know for sure. You are picking out a choice of words and Ming them sound how u want them to sound. No one knows right now and everything is up for speculation as far as the next raid goes. I for one and just looking forward to seeing how HoW and it's ARena are going to play out. I'm pretty excited

I've seen that point a lot but why would they hint at a another DLC when this one isn't even out yet? I don't see that as a smart decision. We will see though.

They were clearly considering the raid for the DLC (otherwise he would not have said about not making the decision lightly). Maybe the raid was not going to be ready on time and it was a whole DLC vs a raid so they chose the DLC had priority. And obviously if it doesnt come with HOW it is no longer part of it and may simply release like they released Vault of Glass. Of course there's also the chance they include it in the Comet expansion.

1 ReplyVoG was the worst launch possible. Bugs from easy could be done in hard mode because they were both launched at the same time. Crota End is just bad. Now it's better because of the juke box update. [spoiler]which took 1 hour to download[/spoiler] HoW coming with no raid just disappointed 75 percent of the already disappointed community. Bungie created halo but can't let us have a raid which is already done. Bungie needs to rethink their plan because a lot of people will leave before comet. What's making people stay now? Well HoW is right around the corner. And Trials of Osiris seems exiting. But what's making people stay for 3 months? It seems like Bungie is purposely taking the raid out of HoW to give us something to do for 3 months. Which is highly likely seeing as half the content in the base version of the game was cut and resold. [spoiler]Activision I'm pointing fingers at you.[/spoiler] What makes me so surprised is that Bungie is okay with this. Me, having 2 32's and a 31 with over 775 hours of playtime (Playing since launch). I have Ghorn, I have 90% of the exotics. I am running out of things to do. I just hope, HOPE, that HoW will last longer than TDB did.

10 RepliesThey advertised another Raid for HoW, yet we get no raid. Do you really think we will believe anything Bungie advertises in the future? No I for one have already made the decision to not purchase any future content from Bungie because they are all a sack of shit filled with liars. I hope Destinys future reputation is impacted by this "We didn't make this decision lightly." Their lack to follow through on a timely basis is a highly noticeable pattern, but the sheep won't stop eating the grass long enough to pay attention! -blam!- Destiny, there are so many other good game companies WHO ACTUALLY DELIVER WHAT THEY SAY THEY ARE GOING TO DELIVER based on the money you pay them. Invest in those better companies and hope Destiny falls on its face.
