For people having issues with the update on PS4

I know a lot of you are complaining about the update taking a long time on PS4. I know I had this issue to. I got so fed up with it so I contacted Sony they told me to run a wired connection to my PS4 and reset my router. So far this has worked for me. This is a 6GB update so it can take up to 6 hours on a basic 3mbps network. Also don't blame Bungie for the slow download. The patch is Downloaded through the PS store not through Bungie's servers so Bungie can't do anything about it.

  • For all the people whining about this couple of things - when download from any server when there lot of user download the same thing. The server acts like Que system first ones in line get the file faster, user at the end of the Que will get the slower speeds. But as you move up in the Que the speed will get better. Second is your ISP speed if you are running 3 Mbps that is not the same as 3 MBps. If u are on wireless yes your ps4 will not have the best connection - walls, distance to the router are factors that will make your speed slower. Have it hook up to either your router or your modem. When I play or download I will have my PS4 hook up to modem or if my kids need it to use the net to. I have my router set up with port forwarding and port 1 setup so if any other device that is on the wireless is last in line for bandwidth. Plus it help to have 50Mb down and 7Mb up..
