How hard is it to get blackhammer and hunger of crota
I have all the raid weapons instead of those two which I really want

I got hunger of crota twice on my first two run I didn't think about my other characters and instantly dismantled it :(

They have the lowest drop rate percentage of anything else in the raid other than the crux and the sparrow...

I got black hammer my first crota kill. I now have 3. I got hunger of crota about my 6th run through.

Avg for me is 1 out of 6 CE normal completions so far

I have received 4 HOC and no BlackHammer's.

1 ReplyGot Black Hammer on my first run. Hunger eludes me. Random is random. It's not difficult, it's just luck.

I got really lucky. I got all the primary weapons my first time doing hard mode. And it only took about two runs to get all the secondary weapons for me. And I have three hungers and three black hammers. Those were the only ones I kept duplicates of.

You just have to keep doing it. I've run CE on normal and hard 26 times total (probably 18 on normal), and I've got a single Black Hammer and 2 HoC. Black Hammer seems to be a lot less common from the drops I've observed. Word of Crota seems to drop a lot though. Have it for all 3 characters.

6 RepliesSometimes I wonder if the rng is rng. What I mean by that is, when you logged in for the first time there was an rng roll to determine how low or high your chances were for subsequent rng rolls. I seem to have a fairly high amount of luck. My first legendary engram decrypted to an exotic(icebreaker). This was way back when master rahool was more of a thieving bastard than he is now. It was the first week the game was released. I even got an exotic engram drop at that time. That one decrypted into a decently rolled legendary The Devil You Know(still have it) with third eye and send it. Many of the other guardians I play on a regular basis with have much worse luck. Way less good rolled drops and far less legendary and exotic drops in spite of roughly the same amount of play time. They do seem to acquire raid gear at a faster rate than I do so rng does work for everyone albeit in mysterious ways.

They aren't that common, I've gotten 1 HoC a long time ago and just got BH last week after running Crota a million times.

Got my black hammer week one Only just got my first hunger last night

Super easy. Play the game and luck does the rest. With no formula, no skill, no path to obtain most anything in the game everything is easy or hard. It's rng so just keep playing

It's random so....probably as hard as any other random weapon

Probably as hard as it is for crota to cough up the titan helm for me. (The normal ship as well) I have everything else.

I haven't got Hunger, but I got the Blammer on my 3rd or 4th try. Honestly, I like IB better as a boss sniper. Blammer is basically an anti-tank gun, and isn't great for smaller and mobile bosses.

Hunger dropped pretty early.. sharded alot of shotties, auto, pulse rifles.. never got the Word until got one to drop.. now i even sharded them.. Seems that the game keeps track of what you got and gives it to you get.. sharded a lot of exotics incl Vex and got a lot of fatebringers and that dead orbit handgun to shard aswell..
