Blades of crota gone?
Anyone else not encounter any blades of crota on earth/moon? Think update might have removed them

Well just did Nightfall 2 times and noticed that my special ammo had been down low like only 4 shots like in crucible pvp leaked into nightfall

Used to see then about every 10 mins or so at Skywatch. Checked it out for approximately 30 minutes and not a single BoC spawned in. Fist of Crota is fine, but I just like to randomly catch them as I'm doing other bounties around the map. Something is definitely wrong.

I was doing patrols with friends on cosmodrome for about 3 hours straight and not a single blade spawned

I've noticed that I didn't see a single one on patrol yesterday

3 RepliesEdited by platty17: 4/15/2015 6:32:38 AMIf you're looking for them to complete an Eris bounty, I always find it quicker to do 3 x Fist of Crota missions on Earth. If you just need to kill 3 of them and have no other relevant bounties, just run straight past everything and into the building on the way to Sardon. About halfway through you come to a Blade of Crota. Kill him and leave to orbit. Rinse repeat. There's no competition from other Guardians for the kill, and no waiting on a spawn timer. You kill all 3 in about 5 minutes. If you have bounties like killing Fallen majors (there's one to kill right where you spawn), or melee 30 enemies without dying, killing enemies without taking damage from them, killing 15 Hive with the Sword of Crota, collecting husk shards, generating orbs of light, headshots, killing 100 enemies without dying. All of the above and more can be worked towards or completed entirely with this mission very quickly whilst killing those 3 Blades of Crota without other players competing with you.

Same this morning. Ran patrols for appx 45 minutes and realized zero blade spawns. Cosmodrome, btw.

Yeah, none for me on earth last night when on patrol for about an hour. Usually see them all the time. Something similar happened with public events for a while a few updates back, if I remember correctly.

I've been messing around with Earth & moon patrols for a couple of hours. No sign of the blades on either world. Really think they've been removed or made a lot rarer in the last update.

I accidentally bought the Anna Bray hoodie and have been doing any bounty I can to rebuild my motes. Noticed today after update the blades are gone on earth and moon. Not at the steppes, divide, archer's line, anchor of light... Logout, turn off (completely), unplugged, reverse, nothing. No blades. Abandoned eris bounty. Thought it was related.

Same problem. Was farming for black wax in the steppes for an hour. They never showed up

The reason we don't see them anymore is cause we all kicked Crota's ass! They probably just either greatly reduced the spawn rates or are going to be adding something else for HoW

I spent 2 hours on each of my characters... never saw a knight or even the ritual for one

I did Cosmodrome bounty on all 3 characters and spent lots of time in Steppes, Divide and Rocketyard (all different characters) and did not have one sword spawn.
