The explosion I find is about 75% of the time. And I haven't had it kill before but I have seen 100s pop up after an explosion before. And it's close to hard light just it fires faster and doesn't hit as hard and I find the recoil more prodictsble on necrochasm. I like to use all weapon types to change things up and have fun. But for the upcoming trials and iron banner I'll be using hawkmoon or thorn and sometimes last word and once to level 5 back to necrochasm to test it out it iron banner. It's definitely not a weapon for everyone but it's a blast to use in pvp I don't know if it will be upgradable with house of wolves I doubt it cause vex can't be upgraded but it will still be useful in pvp
