PSN account ban, is there anything that can be done?

Last week I got my PSN account banned and made a new account and restarted everything on Destiny. I'd played since day one, had max grimoire, every exotic, all iron banner weapons with perfect rolls, faction shaders and ships, everything. I devoted a good part of my life to play this game for everything to be taken away from a single report of having an 'inappropriate username' which I remind you, got through playstations filter in the first place. Every single person I've talked to has said how unfair this is. For everything to be fine, not a problem then next day I'm permanently banned with no warning, nothing. I've done everything everyone suggested and called playstation multiple times telling them my issue, for them to tell me there's absolutely nothing they can do. I don't believe this for one minute. I've seen on multiple forums that they are very capable of changing a players PSN username if they so desire. Yet they tell me that "the community lies" and that "forums aren't a reliable source of information". I asked them question upon question for them to tell me "there's nothing we can do, you'll just have to make another account". So now I come to you bungie. I'd like to discuss this issue with you. I've heard that you don't transfer data from accounts but seeing as this is the most ridiculous of circumstances and how much time and effort I've put into this game not just for myself but for others as well, is there anything that can possibly be done? If not I don't see myself sticking around for this game much longer. I've received lots of help with my new account and I thank everyone that has helped me when they didn't have to. My passion for Destiny and gaming in general is starting to fade which is sad because it was something I enjoyed so much. Anyway Bungie if you could get back to me it would be amazing. Thanks Luke.

  • Because the ban is through PlayStation/Sony, only they can offer you insight on how/why the ban was enforced and if there was only a single/multiple report for it. But per their Code of Conduct, they may not even be able to list specifics, which is why you're in the position you're in. As mentioned already in this thread, Bungie is unable to transfer data/characters/weapons/progress from any Xbox Live or PSN account to another account. • Hello Luke, Regretfully, I must inform you that Bungie cannot transfer data across accounts. While your situation is very unfortunate, what Sony said holds true, nothing can be done. https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/12211

      • Bungie will not transfer characters between accounts. https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/12211 Bungie can't get you unbanned from PSN. This is only Sony's issue. You may not ever be unbanned. All you can do is work up your new account. Just curious, what did you do to get banned?
