If you have only one eye, you can only see 2D right? And if you have two eyes, you can see 3 dimensions.
So can spiders see up to 9 dimensions? They have 8 eyes, so it's just a matter of doing the math.

6 RepliesIsn't it funny how the the human mind doesn't process reading two "the's" when they are next to each other in the same sentence? Read it again :) Do this in your head, What's 1+1? What's 2+2? What's 4+4? What's 8+8? Name a vegetable.
Was it a carrot?
Count every " F " in the following text: FINISHED FILES ARE THE RE SULT OF YEARS OF SCIENTI FIC STUDY COMBINED WITH THE EXPERIENCE OF YEARS... The central eyes are for hunting, they can also see light in the ultraviolet spectrum with these. The others aren't as accurate, they are used for motion detection. I'm not sure about the dimension thing, sorry.

2 RepliesIf this is serious question.... no. They can only see a wider field in the 3 dimensions. The 4th dimension is time, the 5th dimension and all others beyond that being only a mathematical construct and currently debated as to whether our universe has more than 4 dimensions. if not serious... welp.

3 Replieshumans see 3 dimensions with 2 eyes. By that ratio, spiders with 8 eyes see approximately 420.69 dimensions.

Thomas Dolby was right.

Spider webs are inter-dimensional portals that they use to trap prey from other dimensions. Notice how flies also have crazy eyes.
-
They can't seem to see me coming when I hunt them down. So, no, probably not.

5 RepliesClose one of your eyes. Congrats, absolutely nothing happened. You still see 3d, because this isn't a 2d world.
