Guardian "Shields", what are they? (in Lore)
So, we have recharging health. Our own health bar from our perspective is one bar, but seeing someone else's bar we see the distinct gray bar and the
Most people when talking about simply call them shields, for lack of a better word.
I always figured it was armor, and that our ghosts are restoring it (since reading the lore for starter armor, your ghosts scraps it together on top of reviving you from the dead)
What do you think our "shields" are?

The "shields" is probably a reference to light protecting the guardians. Hence why we lost our shield when Ghaul took it from us. But that is just a wild guess..

Probably light. Or some kind of energy shield like from halo

According to grimiore they are the travelers "magic". Not much else is known but what is certain is that they protect against projectiles and likely against magic itself.

Look at your health bar. Ever noticed the red part takes less damage? Want to know why? That's your health. The grey part is the shield. Really simple.

That makes sense because the armor rating (both the number and upgrade defense parts) say it says how much damage you can take Plus shields are blue bars (force barriers or flame shield)
