Extra exotic; recommendations?
Just got a second Ice Breaker. Should I dismantle it and if I do is there any reason to put xp in it before dismantling, (not sure if that improves anything).
The only perk of course being that I wouldn't have to use the phone I'm using now to swap between characters so the answer seems pretty clear. This is my first duplicate however so I thought I would ask.

1 Replyif you have extra exotics put the xp into leveling it just no resources if its at max xp when you shard it you will get 2 shards not one but i would keep an extra ice breaker

Ever since I got this app I have never kept a double except for ice breaker and gjallohorn incase the app malfunctions or something so it's up to u. I wouldn't recommend putting any Xp into it and if you need an exotic shard dismantle it

1 ReplyI only use one and use it for the SGA bounty, I could have three but one of each weapon is fine with me. I only use it with my titan with Ruin Wings for almost unlimited ammo

So it turns out I'm super happy I didn't destroys second icebreaker. The vault app is amazing don't get me wrong but it's still too slow in that pinch situation. I now have invective and 2 ice breakers. No toon will ever go without special ammo. That's my preference. Thank you for tips or I might have ended up with an exotic shard and a headache. Eyes up guardians!

Level it up for another character. Your vault space can be free and have one less weapon to switch between characters. I own 2 each of IB, TLW and SR and plan on maxing my doubles. If and when Xur has the Big G - I am hoping to have enough coins to buy three - for the same reasons. I now wish for another Red Death and bless me with another Hawkmoon. Don't dismantle. You can even buy Exotic Shards from Xur so it isn't necessary unless you have too many of the same guns. I would not keep another NLB lol.

Shard it, you can just use companion to move your first Ice Breaker between characters. No point in levelling up another.

I think I'm going to take that tip. Just realized how convenient easy bake sniper ammo would be for a side toon in a pinch. Yay for delayed gratification!

I have 2 maxed ice breakers and will be working on the 3rd here soon. Doubling up on weapons is completely personal choice. To me the ice breaker is good enough to make me want 1 on each character.
