as recon, help the team and spot as much as possible. also account for bullet drop, the zero function is kinda useless imo, once you get the last sniper, it has ridiculous range. as assault, defib team when you can. engineer, use those rockets, sraw is awesome but takes alot of practice. support, drop ammo and provide constant fire

I'd recommend mostly playing conquest large if you can but conquest small is also fun if you're not looking for complete craziness. Also find a class of guns you like the best whether it be DMRs, AR, PDW, carbine, LMG, BA, or shotgun. I personally like to play as the recon class with a BA or DMR. Running recon is good for supporting your squad from right behind your squad or in the areas between flags, but remember to move around, spot, use the PLD, and c4. The easiest two classes are Assault and Engineer. Personally I prefer engineer over assault because I love PDW's but these two classes depend on game mode and map more so than say the recon class which can be used effectively on most maps especially if you go the spec ops route with a silenced DMR or carbine. Also always try to join a good squad that moves together and don't try to take flags by yourself unless you flanked around and took the team by surprise. Since you haven't played in a while, I'd recommend playing assault and engineer first and unlocking the carbines because then you can win more mid range engagements as an engineer or run the stealthy recon.

I have every gun in the game, but my two favourites are the AK5C carbine and L96A1 sniper. The AK is the very first carbine so use it! The L96 is tricky to unlock and although I've tried every sniper extensively I find it the most accurate and easiest to use in close quarters as well as long range with the 8x scope. Try to avoid running around corners or directly into flags, and make sure you're never alone. Have fun!
