I wouldn't kill Hitler, messing with the time line could have unintended consequences. Germany might never have recovered from the economic disaster from the treaty of Versailles, the us might never have become the economic powerhouse of the 50s nor the world's first nuclear super power. Could get real nasty.

Agreed, hitler was a very influential and powerful leader, he got Germany out of the depression within a year, but his insanity and horrid intentions are the things no one will ever forget, so hitler was an great leader but a cowardly person...
-
Couldn't have said it better myself! Just think what he could've done had he had both testicles and not been a megalomaniac.
-
Exactly, I know this may be very arguable but if he led with good intentions, Germany would have been the World Power. This is mainly because Germany was at least 3 years ahead in technology and science than any other country on the globe at the time.

Are/did you study history in college?
-
Nope I'm currently a high school junior and have taken about 4 college history classes and every teacher that I've been with teaches at a local university, why do you ask?
-
I'm a senior in college and am thinking about what I should do for my senior term paper. This topic is on my top 5 list but I'm not sure how that would go over with done of the professors at my university haha
-
Yeah they can very frustrating haha, so what is your exact topic title, I could try to lead you in right direction with some helpful topics to look into. Btw I've taken AP Euro, APUSH, Ap Holocaust/Human Behavior, and Ap World History
-
The University I go to doesn't offer a specialization unfortunately.
-
Ok gotcha, so what were thinking about as far as covering hitler since we covered many different topics in our discussion?
-
Basically since it would be the 25+ page thesis it would discuss the advantages the Germany would have had if Hitler remained in power and didn't get so..."kill every jew"-y
-
First of all Germany would still have Hitler who is one of the most ballsy, outspoken, and influential leaders in German history(there are many more traits that define him). Germany also had the leading technology in the world in almost all trades, you could even see this during the war. For example, their airplanes, tanks, and even machine guns were stronger, more durable, faster, and more advanced than those of the allied powers. They were able to take nations with ease due to this. Also their rates of production were enormous, matching those of the Americans which would have given Germany a strong economic standpoint. Their scientific research was enormous and if they would have gotten ahold of Einstein's research, they would unstoppable. I need to cut this short since I have to go to sleep and I won't get back on this app until later, so all I've got to tell ya is that you need to read, read, read, the more you know, the better off you are and the more knowledge you will obtain for your research. Good luck on your paper!! (and sorry for the bad grammar.)

I'm copying that and saving that to refer to it. It's greatly appreciated. If you decide to go to college, definitely think about going into history. Maybe I'll have have an internship that you would be interested in (assuming you wouldn't mind relocating to the Midwest). One thing we must think about though is, Hitler might not have been a member of the näzi party had he not had anti semetic ideas. This would actually change the entire course of his, and everyone else's, life. Goering might have been a simple buffoon living on the streets of Munich. Hitler could've become a teacher. You never know.
-
No Problem!! And I'm not planning to go into history man, I'm much better with math and science(planning to go into engineering or computer science), but thanks for the offers!! You are correct about what could have happened to Hitler, but it's all speculation and there is no telling what path Hitler would have taken if none of his screws were loose. So anyways, again good luck!!

Dat butterfly effect
-
Very true. Killing him could have unintentional effects. What if there was no country powerful enough to challenge the Soviet Union?
-
Then I believe we would be calling eachother comrade. And honestly all that concrete and those red flags would get old real quick. I prefer some blue, white and freedom.
-
The Soviets were communists though... Even if America wasn't powerful, there would still be tension between them.
-
I was joking, saying that Soviet Russia would've conquered America. Soviet architecture is famous for being made completely of concrete, leaving little room for art or aesthetically pleasing architecture.

Gotcha
