Be honest? Does anyone not cheese Crota raid?
People are always saying Crota is too easy compared to vog. However , before Vog was patched one could easily push off Templar and Atheon, making for a quick easy raid.
Even if you think Vog is more fun/complex/team-oriented, ect, it can't be denied that practically everyone cheeses bridge, purportedly to save time.
If there was no cheese whatsoever , it would be a lot more challenging with a full team of six, which I think should be a requirement. So, anyone simply not cheese it just for fun? Or does everyone adhere to the timesaver excuse?
Tl:dr: if it became impossible to cheese bridge, would there be as any people complaining raid tooshort/easy????

I think I've done it once or twice without cheesing on normal. It was hard, but fun. I remember I was like, "okay! So we gonna wipe? Anyone on the ledge yet or is someone a warlock?" And someone was like, "we're doing it legit." And I was like, "oh! Wait...seriously?" They were like, "is that a problem?" I was actually pretty psyched. I thought it'd be more interesting. Needless to say it was.

With all the flaws in CE cheesing is the applicable action on this route.

Does running through the darkness as an invisible bladedancer count as cheesing? Last part included. Activate bridge, loosing the debuff jumping on a rock an be invisible til the bridge is up // activate the arcblade and go invisible while active as well. If so i do. Same bridge: does flying with the sword to the other side (there is a little rock you can jump on) and be invisible til the ogres spawn to gjallarhorn them down count as cheesing?^^

I ran the whole raid legit the first week it came out. After that, I cheesed where ever I could. Once a cheese is patched, I go back to doing it legit, no complaints. That said, if there's a faster way of getting my rewards, I will always go for it. One thing I've learned is to never rely on randoms to do their jobs. So the less I have to, the better.

1 ReplyI think many players cheese the raid because they don't know how to perform it properly. For instance I ran Crota with a group last night and 3 of us wanted to do the bridge part legit, but after a few tries we just cheesed. Why you might ask? Well for starters we were carrying a 27 thru the raid, but also the other 3 players had no idea how to perform the tasks. We were able to get 3 members across the bridge legit, but as soon as we started forming the bridge on the other side the other 3 players died and we would have to wipe. Its a shame more people don't do it legitimately. Its more fun imo.

If I'm with my friends, we do it legit. If I'm carrying people, we'll cheese it.

I have never cheesed anything in a video game. That's a fact for me, there is must more achievement if you don't cheat to complete something.

I PREFER to do it legit... when I put a team together, I specifically say NO CHEESING! When I join other groups... I ask if they will run it legit. If they say no... I ask if they will at least TRY to run it legit 2 times before cheesing it. I get the same "oh we know how to do it legit... it's just faster cheesing it" (attention bird brains... no, it isn't faster... we know you just don't know how to do it legit... you aren't fooling anyone!) Anyhow.... some teams agree to try... but most refuse and I get tired of the argument so I just go along with it..... but I refuse to climb the tower and go out of bounds. I will either be the one to go across and hide.... or jump off and just die. It bugs the shit out of me to cheat the bridge... so f'king scrubby! I am hoping they DO fix it... but even more importantly... I'm hoping the next Raid will be cheese free!

It depends on the group. I cheesed it yesterday on hard with our group of randoms (4 31's and 2 32's). On normal it depends, sometimes we i get a good group of randoms and people that are willing to do it legit so we do it legit and I don't oppose to it. If they ever patched it that would suck (only because it will take longer to complete the raid) but I would deal with it. It's not that hard to do it legit.

I'd rather cheese it since most of the groups I get can't even kill Crota in one try on Normal with 32s. I just need armor for my Titan and shards/energy now anyway.

I'm not lactose and tolerant so I'll cheese the -blam!- out of that raid any chance I get. But that's also coming from a person who prefers the chaos of PvP over PvE.

4 RepliesWe did bridge legit once to see how it goes, and we never have done it legit again. We use to use Hunter to do first part now we never do that we do it as a team going back reviving and such. The first part is the funnest part of the whole raid. I kind of like Deathsinger isn't to bad everything else I really don't like and would so rather do VoG.
