Best Sword Bearer Excuses
So i was playing the CE HM last night on my 31 Titan. We had this sword bearer from LFG who came in all cocky and made it sound like he was just going to carry us through. We wiped 6 times before beating it and 5 of then we're his fault. The excuses this guy had were priceless.
"Crota wouldn't let me off the platform. There was like an invisible barrier man. I couldn't get out"
"Whoa! Crota got up super quick! That was a bug!" (No it wasn't, we all saw him get greedy, we called him out on it but he insisted he didn't)
[i]At ogres, i watch him strafe in the doorway to kill second ogre. See him shoot rocket at the wall because of bad timing.[/i] "Dude! Who ran in front of me! I was shooting my rockets and someone ran in front of me! "
[b]And my personal favorite[/b] "Guys, I'm sorry. I was swinging on Crota and when i tried to get away, my controller got stuck. Like the movement stick just got stuck"
[i]Now I'm not saying these glitches don't actually occur, because they do, but this guy was a total jackass. [/i]What other awesome Sword Bearer Excuses have you heard?
Edit: to all those saying, " why don't you just run the sword then if it is so easy?" I do run sword, all the time on my hunters. I help people out on the forums quite a bit. I'm not saying I'm the best sword bearer but I'm pretty decent and if I mess up a run, I own up to it instead of making an excuse.

Edit 5: And finally... we've come to our 600th post. Is been a real life changing journey to this point with you guys. It's just been... incredible. I'll never be the same. And I'll never forget any of you. Each and every one.

5 RepliesIf you are so good, run sword on OTHER CLASSES not just hunter. On hard mode the only excuses that weren't your mistakes are Crota not going down and you being killed by boomers. My favourite fail was on normal and I Gjally'd the swordbearer and I stood on the rock calling for rockets before I realised my mic was on mute and then I unmuted and called, then on the second jump up the sword de spawned after 2 hits and my Gjally was out so when I pressed RT I shot a Gjally point blank into Crota and killed myself. Me and the team were laughing so much.

1 ReplyI always take blame if I screwed up. But most of the time the only problems are sword vanishing. Ive jumped up early once or twice but normally never have any problems. Only things out of my control are boomers and sword vanishing.

2 RepliesAs a sword bearer, Crota getting up too fast is a real bug and you can usually tell when you messed it up versus when the game glitches. Blink strike not working has happened to me a few times where I either just don't turn invisible (even with full melee bar) or Crota kills me anyway even after 2 seconds of being invisible. One of the ones that happens to me sometimes is when you try to melee fly away, but auto aim decides to send that melee directly back into Crota. It isn't a glitch so really that is a mess up on my part, but it is still very frustrating. I always own up to my mistakes, but I hate when glitches happen because while I don't like to make a bunch of excuses I don't enjoy being blamed for something that was out of my control.

The one I used today when I got greedy was "dude, Crota didn't like it when I touched his ass" I told the guys I got greedy too but they laughed lol

2 RepliesI have been trying to figure out how to get 5 slams on crota but can't get the timing right. So I blame my team for taking too long to down crota. No one caught on yet.
