Can you run Sword & Relic
Who can do it? And if not, what's holding you back? Why are you nervous, if you are nervous of course.

1 ReplyMy raid team is three Titans and a warlock and im the only Hunter so usually i run the relic and sword for invisibility and agility reasons. Now I'm super experienced with relic and sword and can do it easily, however my team doesn't know a thing.

I run relic all the time, but I've never run the sword on crota. Crossed the bridge with it plenty, but never cheesed crossed it so I don't know how I would do that.

Eh, I'll say I'll take the relic and wildly get lucky using it! But I've been sword bearer a couple of times on hard and normal, I usually just tell them I'll pop a bubble in the corner and run to it when I'm done swiping. Experience is def a must when I'm trying to just get it done, but if I'm feeling adventurous and I do it a couple of times, I'll offer or have someone new try it a few times before we get serious

Always run relic, but never sword since there's always been a swordbearer in the team

Reliq at templar use with Titan and warlock, Never tryed with Hunter... At atheon use all 3 chars. Crota can do it with all 3 aswell, but Hunter for me it is the best there

Relic... I love that damned thing. It is so fun to use... Sword, -blam!- you I don't want to be yelled at when the slightest glitch happens and crota kills me for no reason.

7 RepliesEverytime I've attempted the sword for some reason I could only get 2 hits in because my character likes to take a coffee break between hits. However I could run the relic like a boss.

As a Titan I use the relic like a boss! But I usually get down voted for hard mode sword bearer on crota, I always play with a hunter buddy and he's just awesome with the sword. I get to do it on normal crota though!

Do it all the time with my warlock. On hard not on normal l. Normal is too easy

6 RepliesI can't. Here's the issue, I don't have a clan or a group of friends who raids constantly. When I do raid, I gotta find random people that will let me join them. I'm already an outsider that is probably being judged by this group of people who already know each other (most of the time). So although I'd love to learn how to use the relic and be a better Swordbearer, no one I've met is willing to let me practice and I don't wanna be that person who holds the relic and doesn't know what to do resulting in a wipe (Did it once, people got pissed, claimed I got glitches and never tried it again). I've joined groups that say they'll teach you how to do this but I've yet to raid with them, mostly because said groups never raid because they're small.

I know how to run Relic at any point in VoG. I would really love to learn how to sword bear too though.

I just scrolled through the comments and saw that A LOT of people will run sword on normal but not hard. Let's be honest, hunter is easiest since you blink strike after first smashing. If you have that strategy down, then all you have to do is worry about how many hits you get for hard mode... It's NO different than normal except also the fact that you use your arc blade, go invis to pick up sword. Get on rock, crouch, call it out and BAM!! For those who don't know, get 4 hits in first time, followed by 3. Then 3,3 ogres then 3,kill then home free :) [spoiler]unless you can get 3 downs a sword, then you get him before ogres :P[/spoiler]

Everyone wants to just get their weekly loot and go; the fun of actually playing seems to be a secondary concern. My $.02 based on my game experiences....YMMV....and I hope it does, since I think rush playing takes a lot of the fun out and waters down the overall experience. Plus, the noob who you allow some time today to learn the Aegis or Sword might one day be the teammate who clutches the win. [u]If any PS4 Sherpas want to teach an Aegis noob how to properly run the relic, I would be most grateful. [/u] EDIT: my comments above mostly refer to the Aegis. The Sword in CE isn't unique to that raid, so you can get sword experience before raiding from Blades of Crota during patrols and The Sword of Crota story mission. But the Aegis is strictly a VoG feature, so the only way to learn that is during the raid, which is where most people don't want to have it take any longer than need be and therefore wont let noobs run the Aegis a few times.

Yes I can run sword and relic. Relic I am great at sword efficient but I can't two sword Crota hard, although I haven't tried yet, so still working it.

Yes I can relic in VOG on all characters even of HM. I can run the sword on all characters on NM and with my hunter on HM, haven't tried my lock/titan on HM as we usually have a hunter that can do it

Started using relic my second time in the vault. To date I have 17 sword kills on Crota HM Hunter-9 Warlock-7 Titan-1 I've lost count on normal.
