SwordBearer Crota Tutorial With Commentary (hard/normal mode for beginners/intermediates)
This is ideal for Hunters but it does have some techniques that are interchangeable. I have posted this before but it has been a while now and I still see plenty of people who wish to learn sword technique. I'm capable of running as a hunter and a titan without aid (distractions). I can make a Titan video if you guys want to see that too.
Some notes I missed in the video: if you hold up whilst swinging with R2 you hit faster (hence me being able to get in an easy 4 hits per down). Also pressing triangle (not sure the Xbox equivalent) will drop the sword so you can blink strike between downs.
My Twitter account @WOTVGaming recently posted pictures of both my bladedancer loadout and my gun/armour loadout when I run sword as a hunter. So take a look there if you wish to see that.

2 RepliesI'm at work so apologies if you cover this in the video, but do you use 'increase melee attack speed' perk on a piece of gear? I've been running the sword for a while now, and usually get 3 hits in safely, but occasionally get 4 in. Having just picked up a piece of gear with melee attack increase I'm keen to try it out!

2 RepliesGood Job and good tutorial! Personally i use the Bladedancer´s Super, become invisible (vanish) to get to the sword and vanish again just before picking it up. Combined with the shadowjack perk, you are able to jump up - call for rockets while in air (2nd jump) - and run behind crota. I just use the Slam and go for three swords as i´m not able to perform combos... ;)

I saw nine on the first sword... and 6 swings on the second... but you only got him down to the 'r'... did you miss on a swing... I thought you would have enraged him on 15, but his healthbar was only at the 'r'... what happened? Also, after a run, I like to regroup in the ogre room, then go invis and back to the crystal room... I find that this way the boomers don't get a chance to tag me trying to get back..

1 ReplyNice video. Just a tip.... On last sword, instead of just being on the ledge, the team can just stand to the far left or right, away from the windows and no one has to worry about getting hit by the thrall. The wall is solid on the left and right ledges.
