I've played over 200 hours but this issue just started happening to me a few days ago. Occasionally, when I turn to the right it's MUCH slower than to the left. I can't seem to reproduce this on command, it just happens once in a while. I thought it was a problem with my controller but it doesn't appear to be hardware-related and it seems to only be happening in Destiny (played Borderlands and didn't see the issue once). I've seen a few other people report this including some of my friends, but I'm wondering if anyone has confirmed this is a bug and/or found a solution? Thanks!

1 ReplyFor anyone using InputMapper for PC I had this same issue and SOLVED IT! First I checked how far my coordinates went using XInput test. I saw that only on my right stick the far left and right coordinates when fully moved to the left or right did not match. I then discovered the sensitivity on my right analog stick was set to 80% and not 100% like my left one. After changing that, the coordinates matched up and my problem was corrected.

It's the controller, it's been happening on other games too, I've seen it on red dead redemption 2 when aiming.

I have a similar issue and it occurs when I stop running. I start turning slowly to the left randomly. My controller is pretty much brand new.
-
Still happening to this day and I play pc with a ps4 controller even bigger if a disadvantage
-
Its happening to me. Its left turns for me randomly. Glad I'm not the only one

I’ve had this problem before a couple of months ago and I thought it was my controller so I bought another one. I wanna say I’ve had this controller for 5 months and when Forsaken came out it started to turn slower going right then it did going left. This has to be a glitch in Destiny 2 because I’m not having this problem in any other game but Destiny 2.
-
LOL THIS IS STILL AN ISSUE IN 2018
-
Yea my right turns are half the speed of my left turns. It's very Annoying and distorting.
-
Same here. It’s been happening for quite some time. It seems like lately it’s been much more frequent. It most certainly is not a controller issue, unless it’s a Destiny 2 communicating with controller issue. Very annoying, especially when it results in a death. Hope Bungie is looking into it.

2 Repliesit just seems funny that everyone's calling it a controller issue, yet it only happens to me (and others) in destiny 2. i have no problem with left or right, its up and down thats messed up and I've tried 2 different controllers. I'm daring to say that this is not my controllers problem, but this f*cking games problem. I'm glad i wasted my money.

1 ReplyXbox One. This problem is started to me few days ago. Only when turning to the right. I'm the only one?
-
i have the exact some problem on xbox one, it will turn to the left just fine, but quite frequently it will turn right extremely slow compared to turning left

Edited by alecsh_r: 4/16/2016 4:18:38 PMSame problem turning to the right. It happens on both my scuf and standard controller. Just wondering if it is a "serial controller issue" or what. I've never noticed this fact before

Edited by Taffyonline: 3/17/2016 3:15:03 PMI have the same problem. Roughly 3/5 times the right analog stick moves a lot slower to turn right than it does to the left. Turning left is consistent with no problems. I tried different sensitivity; 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 etc but its still there. I have not tried on other games but guessing its a PS4 controller error. I even tried resetting controller with the pin hole at the back but its not fixed it.

1 ReplyFor me looking left and right is fine but going up and down is very bad. It will be very slow or stutter when I'm moving up or down. Has anyone else had this problem
-
1 ReplyI have probably the same problem ... in the last few days i noticed that the turns seem kind of strange. PS4 no sensitivity changed ... dont know if its on all controllers.

1 ReplyUpdate from last night: I played for a few hours with a different controller and experienced the same problem, though it was less often. Some nights it has been better than others, so I assume it was just one of those nights. I suppose both my controller could have issues, but it's tough to say. Not really sure what to do now, but I might end up buying another controller and trying it again. In the meantime, please keep reporting it if you experience it! Thanks everyone.

4 RepliesJust a few more points following my first reply: It occurs exclusively when turning to the right for me. I can almost reproduce it on demand. I say almost because I can't actually control when it happens but it happens so frequently (like 1 in 2 or 3) that I pretty much can lol. It's very annoying. If I turn directly to the right and the problem occurs, I can rotate the stick slightly upward or downward around the edge while still holding right and have the turn speed return to normal, but then have the speed return to slow if I return the stick to the right position. Pressing down on the stick (clicking R3) relieves the problem when it occurs. Once again, I assume it's hardware because it's happened over two games but the timing of it seems too coincidental...

2 RepliesU might have to fix your sensitivity
-
1 ReplyAre you on the Xbox One? I have the same issue. The controller's right stick is actually a lot more loose than it should be. Microsoft refuses to fix it for me though.

4 RepliesITS YOUR CONTROLLER trust me I've had this problem before and everytime I tried turning to the right,it was slower than the left.the analog stick was kinda messed up and for other controllers I didn't have this problem
youre gonna need to get a new controller :/
1 ReplyIs it a third party controller? Because I had an issue on 360 with buggy controls. I had the batman glo controller and it would make me throw a grenade at spawn, in Borderlands and Halo but not GTA. Also, maybe your guardian is just Zoolander...
-
Same here, sometimes it reverts and goes even faster then normal, but mostly it's as you stated...

1 ReplyThis is the first time I've seen someone else report this. I started having this exact same issue the day I downloaded and installed the big weapon balance update at the end of February. (I'm on PS4 BTW) I had to stop playing Crucible because I was at such a disadvantage and PvE hasn't been as enjoyable. For weeks I was convinced that update screwed up turning right for me while playing Destiny. But not too long ago, I started playing Minecraft and have been able to reproduce the problem in that game as well which leads me to believe it is hardware relate. But I still can't get over the fact that it started happening on the day of the big weapon patch. That's all I have to say about it for now.

1 ReplyThis happened to me 2 times 1 was each time i went straight i was like a slug 2 was turning to the left and being a slug Its because the controller is sticky so i would recommend washing it out

AAAAAAAAA - old
Are your sensitivity settings lower than they usually are? If not, then I can only think of it being a sensitivity issue with your controller. Whether or not the issue directly relates to Destiny, I do not know, but, you can try pushing the analog sticks down harder and see if that stops the slow turns.
