Ships/spacecraft - what is their purpose?
Are they ever going to do anything other than - nothing?
It would be cool if we could actually fly them, maybe introduce air combat/support in a future expansion.
I imagine most Guardians will probably think this is a stupid idea.

Even just being able to fly them in the loading screen would be cool...

What about the use of the ship in Warframe? This game IMO is a "free" version of Destiny I think it came out the week prior to the Destiny release. In Warframe the ship acts like the Towers basically. Not sure if there's a social element to it, it's been a while since I've played it.

5 RepliesApparently they were supposed to be usable during development and there was supposed to be an upgrade tree as well, but the idea was canned by Activision to get it out the door faster.

To give you something to look at whilst the next bundle is downloaded........ Personally,I honestly thinck off all the space games around now and through out the years, Destiny has the worst and laziest designs of ships I have seen. I mean there is about 11 ship parts from what I can see,and they just stick different combinations on each ship,especially the dark below ones.. They totally mugged us of with ships in this game. Lazy lazy development.total fail:((

It's to get you to each planet and so you have something cool u can look at but not touch :) just when you do patrols you look out in to the distance, that's pretty im a go there, NOPE

I think there was/is purpose for them. It is total nonsence to have them just like shader thing. And btw Bungie give me Gliding hermitage finaly, i have 6 time rope to the heaven and nothing else. Lotery system sux hard.
