Are you for Palestine or Israel
Just wondering. My personal stance is that even if Palestinians were forced off to make room for Israel, that doesn't change the fact that we don't honor no longer existing nations. Do we have people saying," Free the Roman Empire " or," Free Texas "? No, so why should we,"Free Palestine"?

Also, the two examples you listed aren't relevant to this discussion. Texas won its independence from Mexico and [i]chose[/i] to join the United States. And while the western Roman Empire fell, the eastern one survived and was eventually reorganized into the Roman Catholic Church theocracy. My father grew up in a Palestinian refugee camp after his family was forced out of their home. Still has the key to their house that was torn down shortly after they were evicted. Most people in the western world only hear the Israeli's side of the story, which of course heavily favors them. That doesn't change the fact that the Palestinian people (who had lived in that area for several centuries at least) were completely disregarded when the Allied Powers decided to take land that didn't belong to them and give it away.

The ignorance and blindness of the muslim community to relate/sympathize with the 3rd Reich against the Jewish community (the 3rd Reich had racial hatred, the muslims had (has?) religious hatred, major difference). That's just the tip of the iceberg. Many books exist about the subject. Also, "holocaust" is not exclusive to the Jewish massacre. It is derived from Greek, "holokauston" and meaning: consumed by fire.

People say "free Palestine" because Palestinians still exist under the harsh subjugation of Israel. Palestine was given to Jews by the British for the reason of... Jews. And for those who squeal "holocaust!", it was actually decided that Palestine be handed to the Jews in the Balfour Declaration after WWI, not WWII. It's sort of like what America did to the natives except they bomb the reservations too.

It's just the people calling the shots on either side (Far-right zionists in Israel and Hamas in Palestine) that make everyone hate each other. Therefore, I support the majority of people on both sides, because most of them are well-meaning people who just want to get on with their lives and find the best possible solution.
